So true! I sleep with this playing in some noise isolating headphones and it has done something. I remember more. I often awaken at a time of struggling over some situations to hear as I’m coming in bt sleep and awake and hear exactly the scripture that speaks to the situation. God is good. Desire more and he gives more

The do's and don'ts are all written down.. The church needs to go back to the OT for a fresh reminder of how the LORD expects us to worship, and live everyday, and what happens when we don't do it HIS way... It's shameful that many pastors tell their flock not to bother with the OT.. The KING quoted from Deut. during HIS walk here. HIS story is all through the OT.. We couldn't have the NT without it...

Absolutely! Everyone should stop reading the NT, for a short while, and read only the Old, Why? Because that’s all YAHusha (Jesus) had. The NT was written AFTER He was gone, He, and His disciples, even the NT writers, all quoted from the OT. This was the WORD they quoted. He is the Living Word! The OT! The Torah! Do away with the Torah, and you do away with Him. They are One, and the same.

My experience is the opposite. Roman's Ch. 8, "2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, on that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh." I observe that do's and dont's remain a badge of self-righteousness from the pulpit. Devolving the Living Word to a guideline for voting, one way or another. Worldliness is fine as long as that worldliness agrees with their own kind. Worldliness is not fine at all.

(2 Corinthian 3:12-16) 12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

But why to kill men, women and children too? Isn't killing forbidden as a commandment? Why God gives instructions many times to kill someone if He made a commandment with the opposite? Those kids were pure and sinless. I just don't get it. I ain't questioning God, just doesn't make sense for me as a human
@SpaceCadet4Jesus
@SpaceCadet4Jesus Год назад
The kids weren't pure and sinless, unless they are in infant or baby stage. God has thought out, formed and created, not only the human body but the human consciousness too. God owns us and he can do whatever his Holy desires are. On the other hand, the other nations were so wicked that they would pass their children into fire to appease their God's so as to obtain favor. They also served idols, murdered and served sexuality as well. In the past, God wiped out mankind for constant evil by bringing the flood. If people are rejecting the Creator and serving sin because they are evil, then they will get punished. Know that God is extremely kind to those who seek him out and an unbelievable future awaits them.
@hoperules8874
@hoperules8874 Год назад
those kids would have had severe emotional and physical damage, in many of those cases- 1. they were raised in pagan practices where their parents could literally throw them into fire as a prayer, be used sexually as a ritual and so many other problems that we struggle to help people with to this day 2. the eating rules in the OT basically prevent parasites and other related food borne illnesses that cause lifelong suffering-as we still struggle to treat these things-which pagans did not follow So, now this question: did it cause more suffering to take out kids in that situation or did it compassionately end their suffering quickly sending those who are innocent to heaven-if God sais He is Who He Is?

I don't understand either, some things seemed very cruel to me.
@hoperules8874
@hoperules8874 Год назад
@@angiekitson-harris4257 These were people who were told that they had to murder people (sacrifice) to get something they want. They literally burned children alive (among many deeply dark tortures). It's a mercy to those children to not have to grow up in that world. They would go straight to heaven (ark of innocents-look it up-it's in the Bible). The adults would never be able to drop the culture like a bad habit and like it stated over and over again and later happened anyways--the pagan ways would be a bad influence on the children of Israel.

Wow 🤩 God is so good! I listened on my mail route- I’m not one to read Deuteronomy a lot lol…but he says the one who hangs on a pole is under God’s curse 😔 that gives me even more awe of what Jesus did for me on the Cross 🩷 Also how the Lord detests men wearing women’s clothing and women wearing men’s clothing…I didn’t think trans was in the Bible even though I know it breaks God’s heart, but this kind of states it clearly that He detests such a thing

Excuse my ignorance, but I dont understand why God sometimes seemed very angry and cruel in ordering the stoning of people and also ordering them to attack other towns and take them over forcefully. Perhaps its that I dont really understand, its the first time for me to read the Bible. Sometimes it all sounds so cruel what is being asked of them to do. Wish someone could explain.

God becomes mad at those who worship idols. Those who he has given everything but do not acknowledge him. I don't proclaim to know the mind of God, but i do kind of understand the punishment that God hands out. Many of the commandments are written to avoid wars, disease, and avoid division. Example: adultery causes both disease and anger. To let things go unpunished will only increase how often sins are committed.

I would suggest reading jasher and jubilees. This gives more insight into how vile some of these communities were. Also, we have images because of Jesus movies that the ancient cultures were good people. I am very proficient in the ancient religions, and the majority of cultures were basically MK ultras from toddlers on. When God said, he heard the cries of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, that might’ve included some of the residence, some of the children. If I had a child that was trapped in one of these cultures, I would be begging the father to end their torture. … After reading those two apocrypha books, then I would read or listen to Genesis through Deuteronomy in their order. Deuteronomy is the cliff notes of his anger, the other books explain why. Just my two cents. God bless you.

God doesn’t always seem “nice” but He’s always just. Context is everything in the Bible. The Israelites were allowed to take The promised land, not because of how good they were but how bad it was. It was filled mostly with Amorite’s and Canaanite’s and they basically deserved to be kicked out. Genesis 15 God tells Abraham he’s gotta keep his family away for 400 years until the wickedness of the Amorites is complete. God waited 400 years until they got so bad they didn’t even deserve to live on Earth anymore. Sooner or later God doesn’t allow wicked people to go on. The more you learn about Amorite society before the Jews got there you’d have a better idea. God allowed the Israelites to carry out those deeds because the message was clear.. if you don’t follow the law then someone will do this to you.
