Also little tip I noticed. If in rage always opt for F41 instead of WS23 where possible. For some reason normally F41(perfect) and WS23 when not in rage is same damage but when in rage F41(normal) and WS23 do same damage and the perfect one does more damage. Strange I know
I knew that F4, 1 is automatically adjusted to the just-frame version in Heat* if you don't get the frame; but I didn't know that the Perfect version is EVEN more damage. That's really cool to know.
don't try to combo it just try to get the right input 10/10 times first. if you tap forward he goes into mist step, right before mist step ends if you tap back he cancels and moves back evasively. just as this back evasive movement starts if you press and button you get WS moves, try it.
If you launch them by doing slide ws23 mix up the heat will always connect ( or I least I don't recall it to drop ) but it whiffs if you duck a strings or block a low
Another notation error, should say b3,3 instead of 4u3 at 4:21 . Also someone else asked how to perform this trick and you have to enter hitman after the d3 by holding 4. Move is too damn hard for me 😭
Very shity w1, 2 combo most of time whifs if opponent is slightly off axis, so w1, 2 combo are very very inconsistent rely on b2 combo (like.,t7 4b2s), need to fix this otherwise t8 combo Lee is just 90 time out of 100 is useless. W2, 4 is also not reliable so u are always reluctant to use heat after w2, 4. So as usual Lee is better in t8 but still very low tier character.
You have to do it very quickly if not instanteneoulyou want : Check my video for more combos if you want: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNdqHSe3jkA.htmlsi=B5XKNkL7i32T9xX9
Unsure if it's been mentioned by anyone else but ch silvertail (fcdf4) is currently capable of giving a full combo: Fcdf4(3+4) HMSuf4, df4, b33f, b2x2 f41*, ender
It's, unfortunately, not a real combo. They can evade it by simply holding back, which will result in df4 only kicking them away rather than floating them. Still, it's somewhat of a mind game if they decide they want to stay (still, knowing Lee's options from there, all people in the know will just hold back lol).
Is this stuff even possible without a stick, I may be a little new, but I am getting it down to the minimal frames for b2 and have only gotten a double off in a couple of these combos in like 100 tries on controller d-pad
Having trouble understanding the wall combos for Lee in T8. I know in T7 99% of the time it was d/f1, f4,3 , d3 and it seems similar in this game but because of d/f4:1 doing that high resplat, wouldn't that almost always be what we want? It seems kinda inconsistent. Does it always need a d/f1 to work? Does it depend on how slouched the opponent is? It feels like it gives you that high resplat sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't work. Everything else in his combo game feels great but this part is a bit strange.
That resplat is called tornado and it's similar in mechanics to screws in T7. The main difference is that you can use it at the wall ONLY IF you haven't used it before the wall splat, just like bounds in T6 and TAG2. That means if you use your tornado before the wall, the wall combo would be df1 > f4,3 > d3. But if you didn't, it would be df1 > f4:1 > HMS uf4 < ub3 Try doing this combo at the arena stage as an example: uf4 > 4,u3 > b2f > ws1,2f > f2,1 > W! > df1 > f4:1 > HMS uf4 > ub3
@@BoyOnBike4 I appreciate your indepeth coverage. I noticed that other Lees only used it at the wall without using their screw or whatever. But I appreciate this help!
No it doesn't need d/f1 to work but if you can do it do it cause it's easy so free damage You can also see more combos here if you want. I precise it's my video so sorry for self-add... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNdqHSe3jkA.htmlsi=aU_FiCCwP1eDGR9C
how on earth do you do the ws moves out of the forward cancels from b2 and other moves in the combo? I cant get ws moves outside the forward movement after b2, ever.
@@lolnight0 thanks for the reply. I found that out by trial and error in the meantime lol, but getting into the backsway and timing it before its too late is really hard... I wish this was a little bit easier, but I guess its lee after all.
I get 73 damage when I do F333334* bb4 d2 b2 ws12 w23 If you wanna check, it's in my video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNdqHSe3jkA.htmlsi=B5XKNkL7i32T9xX9
So lee has a stance called mist step and some of his move allows him to go into this stance for example if you do b2f you go into this stance. During this stance if you tap back and press for example 2,3 you will get ws2,3.
@lolnight0 Gotcha, I've noticed that you can shift into "new" moves from mist step, but I can't execute ws1,2, or ws2,3. Is the timing very tight or something? (I don't want to give up on Lee, but omg, this is infuriating) nice vids btw
@@beowulf1694 If you haven't figured it out, iWS from mist step is done by doing forward, then hitting back and then going to neutral. A common problem people will do is do it too fast. Try to get the mist step to come out first, and then get the "backstep" next. The way I have always thought of it is that you are hitting the frames between the mist step and the back step and the game counts it as while standing (this isn't technically the case, but it's how I've always thought of the timing of doing his iWS moves in combos). Just take it slow, again commonly people think it's f, b, neutral incredibly fast but it's much more deliberate. It is kinda tight but you can do it 99% of the time after some practice.
@@beowulf1694 At the end of Mist step animation, you can tap back to make lee enter Sway. The first few animation frames of Sway is considered While Rising. Inputting 2,3 during that time will make Lee do ws2,3 As for the timing, practice doing b2 > f > b first. Make sure you only tap f to enter mist step, DO NOT hold. Same with sway, tap b and DO NOT hold. Once you can consistently do that, then input 2,3 immediately after you tap b. And ws 2,3 should come out.
Can someone help,I'm new to Lee and im trying to do the b3,3 pick up move after kicking my opponent to the floor like in 1:35 and he wont pick up for me to carry the combo he just stays on the floor,I'm in practice mode
@@lolnight0you were right I just did it twice, guess I wasn't fast enough, nice guide but why is there no uf4 b243 b2f f41 ff4 combos or anything along those lines, they're easier to do especially for beginners cause they dont require the ws moves or your going to make a different guide on em🤔
Nah, now we basically do b2 x2 and ws1,2 There're some situation when it's only one b2, or only two ws12 no b2, or one b2 and one ws12, or three b2 and one ws12... but it's usually the one above You can check my optimal Lee combo video if you want : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNdqHSe3jkA.htmlsi=B5XKNkL7i32T9xX9
You cancel the Mist Step into the Sway to get the while rising moves to come out. The first few frames of Lee's Sway is considered while rising/standing, so you can make while rising moves come out during it. Try practicing this: b2f > b > 2,3. ws 2,3 should come out. Make sure to tap only the f and b input or it won't work
@@BoyOnBike4 do you guys play on pad cuz mine only works consistently if i buffer the input which is too slow for the combo if i do it quick it just does standing 1,2 and i can see the back in my command history.
