I’m so split when it comes to these types over overtly elaborate puzzles and tables. Part of me just wants to lose myself in them. The other part wants to be as conservative as possible with the use of my short time on earth. “Where can I get the biggest bang for my buck?” 😬 This month I’ve endeavored to memorize letter for letter the entire first chapter of Genesis in Hebrew. That’s going well. I’m a third of the way through, it’s as gentle as it is elaborate.

I am so glad you finally got it. I agree with you 100% as usual. I had to download duolingo in order to refresh the latin I got many years ago at school. Even if Kevin makes it easy when he writes, this a very, very hard book to read or grasp. Had to get Enochian Vision Magic, The Essential Enochian Grimoire, and The Complete Enochian Dictionary. I might have not had enough knowledge 3 years ago when I got this work but the book is still amazing. Enochian Magick is difficult.

If you haven’t discovered it already there is an absolutely marvelous channel called “Alexander Waugh” that explores one example of John Dee’s cryptography and the presentations make an overwhelming case for Edward deVere as the man behind the the pseudonym of Shake-spear. Even if you hate the idea you’ll love the cases presented-- completely ties in with this material. Thanks again for all your amazing finds and reviews

You are such a treasure. I went to an exhibition of John Dee's library at the Royal College of Physicians a few years ago. I had quite an eventful afternoon after I left so remember that day fondly. I've ordered these volumes thanks to your review. I'm not overwhelmed by the quality but I need the content. Thank you for all you do, wonderful man.

I was just mentioning it earlier in another comment here. I just never got the chance to read it. In terms of the production quality... Without a doubt! In terms of the reliability of the content... Peter Mark Adams is a bit like Dr Skinner in that he likes to speculate, but at least he admits that he's speculating 😅😜

Off topic but I just learned something I thought would pass along ; Abraham von Worms son Meir had a daughter named Fogel who married Elchanan Ben Uri Bacharach Bauer. Elchanan is credited for founding the House of Rothschild, he is the father of Amschel Moses and grandfather of Amschel Mayer Rothschild, quite a few generations later but seems the magic is potent.

I’ve been wanting these since it came out in hardcover, I’m finally just getting around to ordering them which will happen next week. As someone who has been fascinated by John Dee since childhood this is definitely something I’m itching to get my hands on and delve into.

Great overview. I looked at getting the hardback versions last year but held off. Glad they re-did them as paperbacks but I don't think it's for me. Sort of like The Picatrix, very good to have for the historical side but not very practical compared to other modern works.

Someone probably dropped your books in the warehouse and tried to sneak it out in the shipment to avoid trouble. Pick items too fast, grab them awkwardly, and the whole set spills.

I missed out on the hardcover for very similar reasons, how strange. This paperback edition costs more than the hardcover did at release if my memory is correct. How strange.

I was lucky enough that I had the money to get the hardbacks when they first came out. You could use the hardbacks as a damn weight, lift it for a few reps every day and you'll probably build some muscle lol.

Got my set already and will doubtless follow you and have them re-bound too. As far as the Latin goes, it is inexplicable to me why this was not translated but personally I will follow Dee's example and add translations where necessary, ignoring the constant repetition of how wonderful god is and how mighty his angels are etc. Interesting you pick up on the Angels of the direction as this is lifted from Agrippa's Occult Philosophy,, which seems to be referenced often. It's still a superb piece of scholarship though.

Start with altering you thought processes and assumption in a more positive orientation bc as I’m sure you know “All is mind” if you mind is not 100% certain the spell will work then that doubt with transfer into your work

Slow your bad luck. Frozen. The Ben Woodcroft book “Angelic Protection” is good, too. You can also eat and convert bad energy ala John Kreiter. The whole idea seems very strange at first, especially given some of the silly titles he uses for his books. However, if you give it your all, it does appear to work! I’d also beware of common story arcs. They unconsciously teach us that everything is going to fall apart and go wrong eventually. We are basically being programmed for non-success.

I don't like groups either, but I would love if I was able to perform a ritual or two with one day. I feel in order to have a mind bending experience with enochian vision magic an open mind (like yours) is required.

I'd say theyu're a nice artefact, but not necessarily a necessary resource unless you plan to specifically and exclusively study Dee's work, which is definitely not a casual hobby...

This (ie. John Dee's records) is what those books are based on, and you get to sidestep Dr Skinner's opinionated half-truths and 'misleading' translations (Klein's words, my thoughts) if you do them yourself XD

I'm afraid I'll never believe Dee and Kelley spoke with any supernatural entities. My reason is simple. As soon as I heard/read that Kelley banged Dee's wife by order of the angels, I knew it was utter 💩. There's no way I can believe angels said that. The angels supposedly scolded them for asking for the location of treasure, yet he's totally into wife swapping? Nah. I call bull. What's your take? I actually want to believe. It's just so silly sounding.

Either Edward Kelley lied because he wanted to bang Dee's wife or he was duped by a malevolent spirit disguised as an angel. They definitely conversed with angels unless you believe they invented an entire unique language possessing its own grammar and phonetic system.

You mean a book on mythology? If so... Where to even start? Maybe the Metamorphoses by Ovid. Diane de Selliers does the best edition in my opinion, but it's in French 😅 If you just mean a book with esoteric content and incredible art, I'd say C.G. Jung's Red Book (Liber Novus)

Could have been a Retro Mercury issue. If too many were damaged, they'd have to do a cost/benefit analysis and decide to push them out as is and take the hurt from the returns and complaints. Biznisssssssss...

I started enjoying a lot more of your videos after you stopped complaining you don't have money to buy these books, now showing them off! haha. Great stuff sir. That's how it should be. On my list to buy. 100% (hope book depository will be more careful than Amazon)
