Also don't forget to keep the 1:1 between strength and crit damage, that helps keep the damage balanced. It is greatly affected if you have, for example, 1,000 strength and 400 crit damage
why?i think it's unnecessary,my armor is 3/4necron and diamond head, and my strength about 300,but my crit damage about 750%!!!how can i make them keep 1:1,it's impossible😮
I saw the legendary lion pet during one of oringos pet sales, and bought it with every coin I had without even checking online to see if it was good. It's perks are just that crazy.
Taking into account that the blaze pet is generally bad if not used with frozen blaze I would say that taking such a niche pet into comparison was not the best choice, just my opinion!
Yeah 100 percent! The only reason I even tested it is just in case it performed good at all, since nobody really tests it. Now that I have full confirmation that it sucks without FB, I won't have to make the comparison again
@ModernSoldier tbh when in kudra and doing blaze skayer before g drag it is quite useful cuz a lvl 100 blaze is equal to almost a lvl 101 gdrag with 1b or 150 gdrah with 500m ir gdrag with 0 bank. Dont ask y i tested that
Generally, I find the rat pet to be a good choice for combat. But if you can't afford that, a golden dragon with a minos relic and 1b bank is a good second choice.
Love how he showcased the lion, but if you go into the crypt ghoul to attack you or get rid of the intimation talismans/artifact, and the mob attacks you; you can get that 150% extra damage dealt and I used that especially for t5 revs and almost everything before I got my edrag and I’d say it’s the best dmg pet for almost everything all around. The only downside is say is that it’s a foraging pet and doesn’t get a lot of exp, but nonetheless it is a great pet
@@ghostkyle9810 do other methods, although foraging is the best way, is the most inefficient. Just use the lion pet while doing your daily experimentation tables and use it as a combat pet. I’d also like to add that doing get it to legendary until it’s in the 90’s or so then either get a legendary from ah, oringo, or use kat for upgrading
@@tetra8157 not at all no, the zombie is hp and crit dmg based; while the lion has ferocity, speed, and strength. Also the zombie Is towards revs, while lion is a overall dmg pet to about everything
Very true, hence why I mentioned those rarities as solid options. I'd personally still go with an eman and jump straight to a wither skele/rare or epic tiger, but you could get a low rarity Griffin in between that
the quality of the videos this guy makes is so high that now my standards are too high to watch any other guides on hypixel skyblock, good marketing strategy tbf.
@@the_terraria_guy9010he showed a lot if it had been longer people would have not clicked on it. If you didn’t like the video simply keep that to yourself
Totally disagree with your suggestions. 1) Megalodon pet is a cheap slayer pet for dog and mf 2) T rex is a good slayer pet since in most slayers u go to a corner anyways (you did too even tho u had shelmet) and u can either put antique for dmg or lucky clover for 14mf and be almost as good as black cat 3) lion is only good for 1 shotting but most mobs that need 1 shot got better pets for it + 3 ple strike is better. FINALLY leg drag isn’t worth it unless u do mean slayer since gdrag 100m bank is better and cheaper.
Triple strike is better, but don't forget that lion also affects it. Also, if you don't one shot the mob, it attacks you and you get a 150% damage bonus. That's why this pet got second place in the dps test.
ender dragon pet is 100% skippable in the current meta of hypixel. while yes technically it cheaper then gdrag most other pet (even a 7m Skelton(in dungeon with a bow)) can outdamge/reach the equivalent damage for a fraction of the price.
skeleton pet only being better for dps on archers in dungeons but being worse for everything else When using a terminator it helps getting a 100% crit chance better then any other pet it absolutely clears the skeleton outside of dungeons it is still the go to pet for eman slayer as it does crazy dmg but is far cheaper then a golden drag (considering the amount of coins you need left untouched in your bank) not saying u cant skip ender dragon pet, but it still is by far the second best pet in the game for combat in general only being outclassed by the Gdrag (for which again would require you to have a lot more coins locked up in your bank for it to be better then the ender dragon pet)
In my opinion, Tiger is still better than Lion for a few reasons: 1. The price (which you mentioned), but forgot one thing: The Lion is a Foraging pet that gives no Foraging benefits, so it's a pain to level up and the price of a level 100 Lion is much more than a level 100 Epic or Rare Tiger, because the Tiger is a combat pet, which you can easily level up with Bestiary milestones or similar ways. 2. The "First Pounce" Ability of the Lion doesn't work on Bow-Damage because those can't have First-Strike, Ferocity does trigger on bows, which is a huge plus for the Tiger. 3. Tigers are cooler :). Keep in mind that this is my opinion and reflects my gameplay and experiences, so think what you want. I'm just giving you another possible way to view the situation.
This is a very interesting perspective, because I agree with you quite a bit. That being said, here's what you're missing: 1. Early gamers struggling to 1 tap zealot bruisers, or even normal zealots, are not going to benefit from the Tiger. You could use magic weapons and a magic setup, but this is oftentimes more expensive than a Lion + AOTD (even just a rare or epic lion) 2. Bow ferocity is super buggy and weirdly niche. It works AMAZING for dragons, end stone protectors and eman slayer hit phase, and then it's kinda useless anywhere else. If you want a good practical Archer pet, the Skeleton is far superior since it excels in dungeons, which is where most people will actually be using a bow 3. One might find tigers cooler, others might prefer the concept of the Lion. As I said throughout my video, my opinions are just my opinions and if the use cases don't apply to you, that's okay! Figured I'd share my insight anyways since you shared yours :)
As an ironman I have and have used a lot of the pets in the game, there is never one way to progress through pets because they all have niche use cases. The tiger pet, in most situations, isn't that good... but when it comes to crimson isle, dragons, and some other things, the ferocity and attack speed you get makes your dps outshine literally anything else. The enderman's 30% less damage perk is amazingly useful for voidglooms if you cannot survive or afford an edrag/gdrag. The wither skeleton's main use is f7. You don't use blaze pet unless you're on the crimson isles for the stat buff and/or wearing blaze armor. There is also the zombie pet, which increases damage dealt to zombies, and decreases damage taken which is useful for t5 revs if you don't have anything crazy like a gdrag. The mithril golem also has a niche use for grinding ghosts and possibly corleone, and with the magic find buff perk it is one of, if not the only, pet(s) you should be using on mining islands for combat.
One cool thing about the golem pets 3rd ability is the damage if you use it for lcm cause on the 5th hit it can bring the damage of a hit that is for example 10mil up to 50mil so in tot 60mil in a singular hit
@@ModernSoldier doesn't Work against the witherlords sadly but in early or midgame it's for mages very OP I was able to Beat sadan in Like 5 seconds solo at cata 24 with a pigman sword for example
Great video and was very informative. Although I do think the legendary tiger was very overlooked, with the tiger’s base ferocity (+ some extra from various parts of the game) I find I can easily get up to at least 50 ferocity. This means every other hit you will practically deal double damage which is very helpful for various slayers as well as mini bosses (mage, bladesoul, etc.).
Yeah 100%, I don't doubt this at all. It's just unfortunate that this ferocity is only really useful for non-dungeon mini bosses though, because that ferocity does not work in dungeons (for melee, which is the whole point of the Tiger). This issue doesn't happen with Lion, and because Lion is so closely comparable to the Tiger's DPS, it's basically a no brainer, at least in my eyes, to pick the Lion. The Lion also performs great against your bladesouls and outlaws, just without the single target dmg or dungeon dps downsides
@@ModernSoldiertiger is a good choice of pet in dungeons for archers though, since ferocity isn’t bugged for archers in dungeons, so if you are an archer using a juju you should still be using the tiger pet
@@ModernSoldier I hope you compare a tiger with the edrag and gdrag in dungeons too, I’m currently trying to save up enough money for a gdrag and I want to see the dmg difference between the pets, so I would really appreciate if you compare using a terminator too
@@choco7232 I'll see. If I feel like it'll make the video too long, I'm happy to show you the comparisons on discord instead. Just message me over there and I'll give you a hand
When testing did you adjust your tuning points accordingly for each pet? Since each pet has different stats you wanna make sure your strength and crit damage are even. It makes a huge difference. Edit: Where tarantula and spider pet?
I never touched my talismans or tuning throughout the video. I could've, but I don't like messing with variables like that since: 1. It can add an insane amount of room for error with testing 2. Most early gamers just pick bloody/silky and roll with it no matter what pet 3. It's much easier to follow the video not changing anything
@@TheShadowMonarch23 if the point of the video is telling somebody what they should go for as a pet, you should use the pet with the correct setup. Compare the prices between them so it can help player decide what to go for. For example you could manipulate the numbers by saying blaze is a garbage pet compared to others due to the single hit damage because u didnt use the armor the pet is designed to pair with. It would make more sense to use these pets with correct setups, for pets with high ferocity but low stats you should use high ferocity sets, and for pets with high strength you should use a set with corresponding attributes that give crit chance. I don’t know how else to say it if that doesn’t make sense. TLDR: They should’ve swapped their setup for each pet to give it the highest chance at the highest damage it can output, and then compare them all with the price differences shown.
this guide mentions a bunch a irrelevant pets so ima js leave a full pet guide below Early game dungeons: zombie for melee berz, sheep for mage, and skeleton for juju arch Dungeons mid game: g drag 1b bank and e drag for m7, phoenix for i4 in f7 and m7, black cat for speed Farming: Rabbit for skill lvl up, mooshroom cow, and elephant mining: armadillo, bal, and scatha fishing: ammonite for early game fishing, and squid, for late game fishing flying fish foraging: ocelot and monkey for rod swap combat: tiger, zombie, and skeleton for early game mid game is g drag and e drag alchemy: Legendary sheep’s to level up enchanting: mythic guardian note: these are all legendary and mythic pets. Reply if you have any questions
you should improve your mp, 350 is really low and u can get around 600-700 for less than 100m coins, would double/triple your damage, great vid as always
wither skeleton is actually OP because the first death's touch damage is applied 1 tick after your first hit, meaning you also gain 67% single hit damage, which is unheard of, even for lion.
Hey modern solder, I have a question because ive seen this issue throughout skyblock recently. The giraffe says that its adds 100% of your damage from 3 blocks away, and that double right? So 72,000 damage to 92,000 damage is no double? Ive seen this issue with the ender dragon pet also, it says it does 100% more damage to underman (double) and yet does not double my damage to them. Could someone explain how it works to me.
im a big shill for t-rex with antique remedies, at lvl100 it is quite literally 195 strenght on hand (as well as the close range buff, situational but very strong)
I used to play skyblock and the wither skeleton at level 100 beet out every other pet in damage I had a leg ender dragon pet. Its also a mining pet so you can get it at level 1 and just go mining to get it to level 100. The money you spare will allow to get more damage as well. Unless you are well past late game the wither skeleton will always be the best.
also when farming mobs you don't want to let them hit you so forget about the lion pet. and the wither skeletons deaths touch allows for a more hit and run for bosses.
is no one going to talk about how good the rat is with hp and crit damage and strength? mine is legendary level 66 16.5% crit damage and 39.6% strength and 86 health
Hey I am losing intrest in skyblock because of having no rank so i only have 2 wardrobe slots no quick crafting and stuffs like that. So can you tell me what can I do to gain intrest again?
k know that this isnt a dungeon vid, but in dungeons do you think the antique remedes t rex would seem pretty solid on tank builds, as they could use the dps and it gives knockback immunity as a class perk, making the oppertunity cost must smaller for using that held item
Absolutely! This is one of those use cases where the T-Rex could completely outperform any other pet. Not everyone will fit these conditions though, so it's unfair to assume that for everybody
I said this! Most people will be using first strike, which is why this is valuable information. Even if you use triple strike, the Lion is just buffing your DPS, which is also very powerful
You should've tested skeleton and zombie. Both are comparable to edrag wince skeleton gives a +150% additive damage increase (in dungeons) and zombie has a +150% additive damage increase against zombies (most mobs in dung3ons are considered zombies)
Can anyone tell me how i can see my chat messages because ever simce i switched to prism launcher with the mods from the video i cant see my grandma wolf chat messages to keep track of my kill combo can someone tell me what setting changes that
I feel like the ankylosaurus shouldn’t have been in the video. The pet is buggy and last stand doesn’t work properly which heavily nerfs the pet. It’s late for me rn so I won’t elaborate on mobile but just know you’re comparing something completely broken to pets that work properly.
I have a better combat pet comparison! gdrag with 1b bank / edrag = 👍 anything else = skill issue not using the legendary variants = u bad Every pet for damage except gdrag and edrag is only used for pet score Also mining pets are not the easiest to lvl… Its enchating
Ferocity in dungeons isn't bad if you know how too use it bruh Also edrag is arguably more Important than golden dragon You do more damage too more important mobs like dragons You get more of the other stats Etc. . . Lion just isn't a good option Tiger beats it unless your bad Usually Lion gives the best buffs too really bad stat and or progression balanced profiles
Video was already massive and I didn't want to test on my main profile either. Gdrag is especially difficult because I'd have to risk transferring the pet + 1b coins for a fair comparison, and I'm not keen on risking my account. I did test these on my main, and can confidently say that EDrag and GDrag were much better though. Ask me on discord if you want specific numbers for their damage tests
