I feel like I should be giving out medals or tshirts or something for anyone that sits through this whole video. "I SURVIVED pixel's Rogue Legacy Guide".
Oh my lord your pronunciation if hokage and runes made me a bit stabby. Despite that though this is a FANTASTIC guide, thank you so much. Very very helpful.
The chicken trait is positive IMO because you can leave them running around and come back later to kill them if you are low health as they don't despawn like normal chicken
Really enjoyable video - just two gripes with it: The "subscribe and bell clicking" animation that pops up every 20 minutes or so is incredibly annoying when it is THIS loud. Also, every time you said RUIN instead of rune hurt a bit - which added up to a LOT of pain! :D
Thanks for the feedback. I think this was the first time I used that sub button, and since I have muted it as to not be too obtrusive. I want to grow, but don't want to be annoying if possible. As for rune vs ruin, I totally do that and had no idea I did. It's like when someone, as an American, realizes they say the word "water" like "wad-er", only rune is just my own poor pronunciation and not some regional accent.
You did a good job with this video, but I have to agree about RUIN/RUNE. Everyone I heard "ruin," my mind couldn't process the next five seconds of the video. Haha. Otherwise, great job!
Great guide man, I've come back to the game to grab the Thanatophobia trophy. Haven't touched the game for a few years and this guide was super helpful for getting back in fast.
Amazing video which I enjoyed start to finish! Major issue: the game sound is WAY too loud compared to your voice. Minor: It's runes, pronounced "roens", not ruins "roe-iens".
damn this tutorial is really in depth, i am the worst at this game And own the game for a year and i only beat the first boss, this helped me alot deffinetly earned a new sub.
played it for a month and only now have beaten the 1st 2 boses and thought i was the worst at the game but im not, so remember, if you think you're the worst, there's probably someone worse, besides, you're supposed to die, its a rogue-lite game
LOL for the Slime Boss I honestly just spammed orbs and it was a matter of bullet hell by that point. Probably not the best solution but it worked for me so hey.
WTG, that's an accomplishment in and of itself. If you're going to go full in and start doing those bonus bosses, just try not to get too frustrated. The key is to keep yourself in the state of mind of "I'm just practicing". My son (8) was watching me when I was building this guide. When I first started the remix bosses he'd watch me fail and say "Oh you lost again!" and be all bummed each time, but I kept reminding him "Naw, we can't expect to win right out of the gate with these bosses. They're hard, just like learning anything new. It takes time and I have to be patient with myself." Expecting to win right away would have given me additional frustration and I would have burned out. I love it when I get to turn video games into life lessons for my kids. Keep up the good work!
The vertigo trait i despise. I managed to adapt & get pretty far with a vertigo char, but when i switched back, i just got that weird confusing effect like when you read manga and comics (switch reading sides)
I've seen some people mitigate it with like mirrors and/or upside down screens or controllers but that's just way too much work. I'd rather just avoid the trait altogether.
I'm late but is there a pattern to know what kind of stat we can find in chests ? For exemple, can we find attack / magic attack in parcour chests. (i know i find them more often (exclusively ?) on miniboss / boss.
Hi! your guide is amazing, ty for the work! I have a question, i'm on my way to complete the medallion, but to kill Brohannes, we need to be on new game + ? The wiki say we need to have the 4 parts of medallion and kill Johannes 1 times before. I don't want to make a mistake.
There was some discussion on this topic on the Rogue Legacy subreddit and it seems as though you may need to be on New game++. You would have to beat the game twice before seeing the medallions drop. The good news is that after you beat the game once, the subsequent runs through are MUCH easier, so it shouldn't be much of an issue. Also remember that the medallions for the extra bosses won't start dropping until that boss is dead. So you'll have to kill each normal boss on New Game++ then start looking for the blessing statues. Hope that helps!
Just make sure the other 2 bosses are dead and keep searching for blessing statues, it may take a few runs through, but eventually you should get the other medallions. Completing the game again should not reset the medallions. Though I'm not 100% on that because I haven't done it myself. The extra bosses are a one time deal, at least they should be.
I will forever be punished for that, but I definitely asked for it. I've never seen Naruto before nor have I played any of the games. This is the price I pay for my anime ignorance =)
I'm not going to complain but the game I'm pretty sure just glitched out on me. I played the little mini game where you have to pick between 3 chests it just kept giving me money I ended up maxing out at like 70 thousand something or other and so I just maxed out my health and attack and now I'm ready to go.
@@pixel0 right? I put my controller down and had to look it up. I thought... that is a TON of gold! I'm on my 13th life so I am going for the big trophy right off the bat!
I have a few videos covering some of the early access bosses. But you should take a look at the Rogue legacy versus Rogue legacy 2 video it breaks up a bunch of the stuff that was different like 6 months ago.
That particular name I found several sources on and determined it was not clear cut. I went with a pronunciation that seemed native to it's language, but I could definitely have been wrong. This is unlike the Hokage which I just phonetically been pronounced and was thoroughly corrected on.
I spent 3 hours on alexander the lV because I didn't know that you could use replacement to go the other side of the spike wall, when I figured it out it only took me 5 minutes.
