Bob kinda brought that on himself by framing Krusty for robbery (with such contempt for the Springfield PD's detective skills that he neglected to control for an obvious clue, even) instead of oh, idk, slapping the clown in the face with his 2 weeks notice and then jumping ship to go knock on PBS' door

Robert Underdunk Terwilliger Jr., PhD was a great villain played to perfection by Kelsey Grammar. His early appearances are his best and unfortunately the more he appeared the less threatening he became. His voice is iconic and the 'Hello Bart' is something im trying to imitate. Spectacular singing voice as well. His enemies Bart and that damn rake

Really liked what they did with the Bob family. Sideshow Bob (Kelsey Grammer), Brother Cecil (David Hyde-Pierce) and the characters Father (John Mahoney). All three of the Crane family from Frasier.

The irony, its Lisa who destroyed Bob the most. When Bob was trying to frame krusty and kill Bart he was in a bad place in his life, but the life he made in Italy he was reformed, happy and loved, until Lisa screwed it all up. So really it should be Lisa that Bob focuses on killing.

Wiggum probably wouldn’t stand a chance if Bob made him his enemy. But It would be funny if he kept getting close while wiggum remained oblivious, only for something random to happen and Bob gets hurt instead. Similar to Bob hiding under the car when homer just decides to drive through the cactus field 😄

sideshow bob is my favourite character because he has such a beautiful voice. And he was voiced by Kelsey Grammar who is also in Frasier. He had a very insane laugh and an unfulfilled revenge on Bart.

I only ever saw Bob in a couple of episodes as a kid but he really creeped me out back then. Particular his face when he laughed. I’m 20 now and after seeing the thumbnail for this video, I’ve gone back and watched all his episodes and he’s become one of my favourite Simpsons characters

Correction: In Sideshow Bob Roberts, it wasn't an attack on his intelligence, it was an attack on his ego. Lisa knew he would be smart enough to do all that stuff, but she also knew that he had a huge ego about how smart he was, so tricking him into confessing by giving the "mastermind" credit to that other guy wasn't so much trying to make him look dumb, it was more manipulating him into doing what she wanted him to do. I see that sort of thing irl all the time (I have people like him, except not as extreme, all around me)

Quality video as usual. Sideshow Bob is the perfect Simpsons villain because he has that Robert Shaw quality where he can be both intimidating and buffoonish (and the metajoke that someone with Kelsey Grammer's dulcet tones also gets smacked about by rakes).

Can we have the timeline of everybody’s favourite person who has always been handed the short straw, Gil Gunderson? We learn a bit about his history in the episode of the Simpsons where Ned recalls when he finally became a Christian, as we learn that Gil was a door-to-door salesman, and come on, he has a family that don’t really know him. He’s just misunderstood.

"Sideshow Bob Roberts" gave us one of the greatest "Simpsons" lines ever: "Your guilty conscience may force you to vote Democratic, but deep down inside, you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals and rule you like a king!" It's funny because it's true - well, sort of true. I'd say that the psychological makeup of the average American voter is one-quarter identification with/aversion to wealthy people, one-quarter resentment of/envy of leftist folk heroes, one-quarter white guilt, and one-quarter genuine idealism.
