Believe me, Avram is not dead, if you read the effect of the last spell of World Legacy Archetype, youll see that if there are 7 level 5 monsters are sent to the graveyard, which are refered to 7 world legacy cards, you can special 1 cyberse link monster from the extra deck, which I think that is Avramax, that why you can see Lib and Imduk are holding the sword, using the power of 7 world legacies, they might able to bring Avramax back, also remember that Avida effect is returning all the monster back to their deck, It means Avram is still alive, knowing that truth, lib travels around the new world, finding the legacies, hoping one day to reunite with him once more time. In the spell card you can see that lib is holding the World Key, she looks to the sky, and perhaps, she's waiting for him to return. I think that is the True Ending of this whole epic story, thank you for reading this
But I don't see how "sending to graveyard" is the same "collecting". The cyberse link monster that final spell card was referring to is most likely "Lib, the Word Key Blademaster". And if you read Lib's effect, she's pretty much meant to keep the other world legacies to remain unearthed, since her summoning and effect requires a world legacy card to be in GY. Even Girsu has similar effect in sending World Legacy card to graveyard. Just remember that WL Bestowal banish all 7 WL to summon Avida - Rebuilder of Worlds, only for 'him' to return all those WL cards to the deck. In a sense, 'resetting' the world to a blank state. Then, Avida might've somehow used "World Reassembly" several times to summon all World Legacies back(probably to form the world anew), where they're destroyed and sent to GY at the end of the turn (their power exhausted to reform the world) , thereby fulfilling "The World Legacy" requirement, creating Lib on the next turn. I don't think Lib would want to repeat everything all over again. That's why she's been journeying to keep those WLs untouched. That said, it's still nice to believe that the trio(+1 pet) will some day reunited again.
@spearsage i think first of all you must set the meanings of the positions of the field clear to interpretate this story right... what DOES "in the Deck" means in storylines? is it alive? or is it not found? what happens in the "hand" - status... how exatcly is "on the field" a differenz to "in the hand" and are they dead in the GY and if so what does bannished means? this is the ground the disscusion should start on
I think since the card "The World Legacy" says you can special summon 1 cyberse link monster from your **extra deck** not graveyard... avram comes to be with ib through the world key.. and the key summons him temporarily from the "Extra deck" but not from the grave... unless he never went in the grave all along, thats why the last spell in this series special summons 1 cyberse link from the extra deck. guess we cant know for sure but i just love this story :'c
This is a perfect example why music is so powerful With only pictures and text music can bring a lot of feelings and the use of the music here at the right places made me cry Auram you will life on in our hearts
If you add in the lore from Master Duel, this adds depth to the Mekk-Knights and Lee, and gives an even more sorrowful view of Ningirsu's story. The only thing that's missing is regarding Ningirsu's fate, and the creation of 'Girsu, The Orcust Mekk-Knight'.
Also, if you paid attention to the previous gate before the WL, the Qliphorts are technically a part of the lore too. 7 Qliphorts remained after successfully defending the Naturia Tree, becoming the Mekk-Knights as a part of their programming. In the Qli solo mode, the tree is attacked by the Shadolls, with the Charmers and other archetypes either defending the tree or moving in to take the tree for their own undefined reasons. Qliphort Scout has a very eerie easter egg in its flavor text referencing the Zefra and the goddess Sophia too. It even references the Infernoids by specifically calling out Tierra in a file directory. It makes me want to go on a lore hunt throughout all the archetypes mentioned either directly or indirectly. It'd be a rough time, but the lore just demands it.
I honestly believe that the mekk knights did nothing wrong. It appears that they knew that the discovery of all the world items would bring about an apocalype, which became true because of Lee. Whether u agree with that or not, I hope we can agree that some sort of backstory for Lee is needed so thay we can have an idea about her motives and why she wanted to control the power of the world legacy items. Because it's going to be pretty lame if it's just because she's power hungry lmao
Lee's darker nature is what I believe the Mekk-Knights feared most of all, even if they likely couldn't fully remember that she created them in her human form before she became what she was and before the corrupted side of her came back out.
The World Key is said to give one the powers of both the god of creation and the god of destruction who sealed their power in the World Gears of Theurlogical Demiurgy to create a cycle of life. Lee wanted to become a god. Shape the world in her image.
Very awesome, and there's also the part you missed with Ningirsu repenting for his sins of building the Orcust to try to revive Ib through Galatea becoming Girsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight, and watching Ib from afar as she became Lib, keeping the World Key to find a way to seal it away so what happened won't occur again.
Konami really really needs to turn this into a full length animation! Also congratulations with your storytelling and music selection, I was in tears at the end!
THIS IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE: I think it's the most complex story of all lores. This is why i love yugioh so much, it's not just a card game, but a real adventure :D
For the second part with the happy end, we have to wait a lot of years when Konami will reveal the Structure Deck of World Chalice and Crusadia like they did it with Chamers and Shaddolls, right?
Nigirsu really had that mentality of “oh someone close to me died? Time to destroy everything and not move on.” Most of us have been there, where losing a parent makes the world feel bleak, but you’ll meet people that brighten that world. Don’t be a nigirsu, be a Maximus
This was both extremely beautiful and kinda sad. This would make a great anime honestly, like a spinoff from the usual Yu-Gi-Oh series that is a little more geared toward the older audience than 10 year olds, I'd watch it. Only wish it could go over what happened to ningirsu but overall 99% of the story seems to be here so it was super enjoyable and I learnt a lot about the story behind all of this from it, thanks!
I originally hated all these archetypes cause they were meta and here I was playing Dinos. Then Ib, the Justicar came into the picture and i kind of cared about them. Then i saw the picture of Ib stabbing herself and kind of just stopped cause man that is some deep stuff. Seeing it all laid out now... *Speechless and crying* also cheers to the ending song from Maquia, someone at work recommended that one to me, haven't watched it yet but maybe now I should huh...
I really love this story. Before this, Stardust Dragon was my favorite lore, but my favorite lore now after seeing this is Guard dragons and their role of The World Legacy
If it's anything like the real world software Avida was based from, then it's pretty much a successor star god to Tierra, Source of Destruction. If I have to guess, World Legacy timeline is probably the far future of the Duel Terminal world. FYI Avida software in real-life is inspired by an already existing similar software called Tierra (both were meant to simulate artificial lifeforms growth and evolution, but with different methods).
A truly moving story and the music made it so much more impactful. Actually brought a tear to my eye towards the end and at ib's death. A great video, thank you.
Imagine if it becomes a reverse type story, where Ib becomes Lee and it starts all over. How tragic would that be? Danget, I wanted a world legacy anime so bad after noticing world legacy cards complement link cards, but now after learning the entire story and not just the world legacy part, I want it even more! I want more! MORE!
For the second part with the happy end, we have to wait a lot of years when Konami will reveal the Structure Deck of World Chalice and Crusadia like they did it with Chamers or Shaddolls, right?
This is definitely the best adaption I've seen on the world legacies for sure. The only part I'm not too sure of is how Mekk-Knight Girsu fits into it. Though i think that card might of came out after this video was made. But they need anime of this or like a Netflix series...just beautiful!!!!1
He is in the epilogue yes. I believe the master guide tl does tell us he's watching over his sister behind the scenes and the fairy next to him is galatea
I jst found this & wow ik ib pain:( loosing sum 1 u wanna say ily 2 is sooo hard:( damn the fells now this was amazing:'( I can't stop crying 😢 . Now ima build this deck^^
Interesting idea, but I think for it to really blow out, you'd need a few things, like voice acting. Even if it's just a narrator. Short lines from the characters would help too. It's a tough sell, but it would increase the production's value tenfold and net you far more views.
I enjoy these stories from cards being created May I ask, what reason are the cards the art is taken from to tell the stories not given credit? It happens in every storyline I watch Is it a rule of Konami or something? Just curious
That's Lee, a.k.a the fairy from the beginning, a.k.a the main antagonist of this story. Who was nothing more than a power hungry bitch who wanted to get high on that divine power, which is suprising to me since I had always thought that Lee was a sort of tradgic villain who wanted power for the sake of peace. But nope, she was just curious without the thoughts of world peace, unlike Xehanort, who is in many ways similar to Lee, only he was simply misguided in thinking that just darkness could save the world. This doesn't mean I hate Lee as a villain though. Her plan is glorious, she has this cheeky air about her thats perfect for a villain to have, she's hot (at least in her human form), and she's simply an effective villain all the way through (even if her motivation is lacking).
