Jared Connell I know your comment is old, but yeah, as a guy born in 1991, I still think Apple used to be different back in the day. :) No, not the inventors of the GUI, but they were excellent at remixing things and making them more appealing. :) I personally remember playing around with KidPix on my therapist's Mac around 1997 in Kindergarten. :) Good times... :D
19:17 The delay between the camera operator’s instructions and the camera responding meant that, in all the previous liftoffs from the Moon, the camera looked up too late, and failed to track the ascent stage properly. This was the last chance. The operator had to work out how many seconds in advance to issue the elevate-camera command, and hope that it would coincide with the actual liftoff. This time, it did.
Would be superior. The mess of browsers and implementation isssues are stil here in 2021! Server side madness wiith no encapsulation so a coder can just code so much lying open yes but that makes less productive work. When you look at how Apple sets up App development you get how it should be.
So ,a hypercard is actualy a control software to control different machines wich are connected to the computer and being able to easy program stuff??!!
I think it's the other way around. Hypercard is for making simple programs (sort of off-line predecessor to websites and JavaScript), but can also be used to control hardware.
There's a feature called XCMD/XFCN, which means external command. Using those, people were allowed to add new features such as displaying color images. Hardware control over serial connection is one of the feature added by third party, such as Voyager publisher.
Sort of but it’s hardware based. Imagine since this comment was six years ago you’re now a bit more tapped into the older scene and where modern systems came from. HyperCard was a great idea that wasn’t followed up on because it made it too easy. Don’t make yourself obsolete whilst making something’new’ is the core ethos of computer design for forty years now.
