you missed the funniest fact about Rensenware, which is that the creator accidentally infected themselves and wasn't quite able to get the score needed to get rid of it and had to make a workaround for their own virus

Yeah it'd be cool to have like a brief video or example of each one while you're covering it. Although maybe it would be a bit more difficult than thought, idk. Would help seeing them though to further burn into memory what's associated with each, thus remembering the content better, as well as (Your) video as a whole. Not a creator myself of course, but just giving general overall advice that I feel could help you grow as a creator. Good luck man! Good video as well, of course. Alot of these viruses I haven't heard about.

Wannacry was so bad that Microsoft released a security update for Windows XP which had support dropped for it completely by then. Great video mate. If viruses are a topic you're interested in or passionate about, I'd 100% watch you do deep dives on the ones you find interesting.

A bit from the portuguese gay virus at around 35 minutes: the part before the first comma wasn't properly translated, but it basically says "well done you closeted [homophobic f-word]" Source: I'm brazilian and busted out laughing Edit: also, the image that followed with the holy strong dude and a symbol in the background are a reference from a brazilian football team whose fans are often called gay as an insult.

@frednificent I saw that. And that is honestly awesome. Since Joel is known for his funny and crazy videos, he does. I find the guy absolutely hilarious. Which I wish I would've gotten into him way sooner. But I am glad I found him a couple of years ago due to his videos involving Joel doing destructions of Windows Virtual Machines. And stuff like that.

24:42 The bootsector is already modified, that's why the bus game appears, and the reason on why it won't boot up again is because the infected MBR fills the SPD with garbage, which is a chip located in RAM sticks. To fix it, you need to either reset the information stored on the chip or replace the RAM (once repaired, boot trough a CD/USB instead of the harddisk, or else the destructive payload will appear again) Some computers have write-access protection to prevent this.

The "Alerta" virus is from Brazil, it basically says "haha Ur gay" and sets your desktop to Sao Paulo Futebol Clube's logo (this football team is (idk why) associated with being gay)

good video, my only criticism is I think you could've spent some more time on a few like memz and bonzibuddy considering their impact (bonzibuddy inspiring kinitopet, memz also being known through it being featured on vinesauce joels stream, leading to a variant called VineMEMZ made directly for him) although maybe long icebergs aren't your style and thats fine too, lol
