Yo put the workout in the description please! Also, why is Jas so stinking cute?! Her smile is contagious. Looked like a great day of training guys 💪💪💪
I wouldn't consider myself OCD, but I immediately noticed the mismatched plates. I think when you are a Crossfitter, you automatically start calculating weight when you see a barbell.
The Rogue Echo Bikes are the best! We're lucky enough to have three of them at my box - they kick the assault bikes' ass! They're built like tanks and are a lot more difficult because they don't allow any ghost riding. As soon as you stop pedaling, it stops :p
I hate rowing, just as boring as running is. However the Air bike(death bike) I can do everyday, distance, sprints etc... love it. Sold my rower to get the bike. Really want the skierg then i'd be a kid in a candy store when working out.
So how about this.... concept 2 bike erg or ski erg? already own a rower and an air bike.... would love an air runner but @ $3500+ its just not on the list yet
I went on a bike erg for the first time on 4th july('21) whereas normally i use a technogym exercise bike for cardio. Firstly, i agree yes on an actual bike is the most fun by a mile but only if you have access to reasonable cycling routes and dont get your bike stolen like mine was. I found the bike-erg however, was a really tough ride compared to the technogym. Ultimately i lock in at a resistance and try to maintain rpm. On the technogym thats typically level 10 at 78-80rpm for between 15-30mins depending, All i could manage on the bike erg was level 4 at about 74rpm for about 10 minutes and the burn i got was a very different type. I thought the handlebars weren't ideal though, not for longer distances. Rugged as you like though and looks like will last forever. Not convinced you need to spend £1k on an exercise bike to get a good burn.
Bike workouts and swimming were key to my fitness for rowing, not having towed for 20 years the bike erg is the best bike I have used , 200 and 300 watt sessions work for me, when your nee to bike erg you will feel swole afterwards for sure but your body adapts but it is a proper workout
Hi TeamRichey, would love to get your thoughts & opinions on the New Renegade Bike we have launched. Maybe we can arrange a day when you’re back from the Games for you to visit us (we’re in Southam CV47 0FG).. Thanks, PB Team
I’ve heard that the Bike Erg works like a real bike so if you stopped pedaling or slowed pedaling, if she backpedaled then pedaled forward at the slow pace she dropped down to, she would have gotten the resistance at the new slower pace….I don’t have the bike….yet….But saw a blog post where this was stated.
Duh you guys... The reason for the 'burn' you are getting is that you are using the standard 'kiddie' platform pedal. Works like this: While one leg/foot is pushing down the other leg/foot is also pushing down on the rising pedal. You are doing this so the foot maintains some contact ready for the down stroke. I swop out the platform pedal for my CrankBros Eggbeater 3s and road shoes. This proper method of peddling actually means you are...pushing down..pulling back...up and forward all in one circular, smooth "cycling' motion. The burn can then be enjoyed up out of the saddle or forward 'on the rivet'. Try it, don't take my word for it. In fact, sneak a pair of clipless pedals on and blow away the competition. Actually better still...just go out on a road bike, way tougher than anything in the gym. Treadmills are waste of time, for lazy folks who think they can run, just means all you have to do is lift a leg and the road moves under you. Its nothing like the real thing. On the road you are propelling yourself forward. Done a lot of that too 10km - 120km road races. Believe me tread milling is a breeze.
I think you can go to any major city in the USA and have a great time. Each city has it thing and nice people, you can't go wrong. Since Jaz loves animals so much, Texas maybe a good choice, you can go horseback riding. NYC is about walking, and seeing sites. e.g, Statute of Liberty, Broadway shows, Central Park. You will find great food and lodging in every major city.
Hey! With the bike, change resistance rather than rpm to change watts/pace, try to stick to about 90rpm unless a sprint then like 120rpm, and change resistance accordingly. Hope this helps!
Haven’t used this yet but considering it for home gym but the rogue echo bike is a TANK! It is incredible and indestructible. It is also more realistic (I think) because the cals are much, much harder to get than the assault bike
There's so much to do in Dallas! Big Crossfit presence, amazing food (Pecan Lodge BBQ), and sightseeing (Reunion Tower, 6th Floor Museum). Definitely worth checking out.
Jas “Let me just check!” 😄 So cute, I love watching Jas progress and her contagious positivity! Can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate an upload every day!! ✋🏼🤛🏼
