Excellent presentation! Thank you for this. Like David Bentley Hart, I think Origin ought still to be sainted. He dedicated his life to the church, essentially died a martyr’s death, and laid a foundation that was invaluable with his abundant teachings. He inspired a depth of study and ultimately a monastic movement that pressed into the deep things of God. His distinction between letter and spirit in the understanding of Scripture is a deep well still waiting to be redug by those thirsty for the “hidden wisdom” reserved for the mature!

Very interesting!🎉 In Comparison to Saint Augustine Origen was so liberal, lovable and yet still close to Jesus. One can feel his humble and honest search. The Church should have appointed him as a Church father instead of the heavily neurotic and revengeful S. Augustine. Much of the history would have been different. Its telling. By the way: What a lucky presenter. He has to think of his High School years to present an example of a "Sin of omission". I did the last one last week. Seems like I do them more frequently.
