I really appreciate that you take the time to make a pdf for every lesson, I download it and with it at hand I watch the video and it's a lot easier and convenient because I can study, read, listen, take notes in the same document at the same time, thanks a million Lucy!!!
@@maryam6762 No jokes, I can talk about the weather ten times a day, with different people of course. It's just an icebreaker in most situations I suppose.
Due to her beauty , adorable accent and her extraordinary teaching abilities , she is attracting peoples , motivating youngsters to learn English and growing tremendously in RU-vid . To achieve a great fluency in English , this channel is assisting me a lot. Hope a new channel named Spanish with Lucy will soon open. Love you Lucy .
Hi, Lucy! For second conditional, when using the verb “to be,” the correct way is to always use “were.” It’s not optional to use “was,” grammatically speaking, even though many actors speak this way on TV. I’m American, but this rule applies to all Englishes. I only bring this up because I have to give Cambridge online exams which only give multiple choice options, and “was” is not a correct option. Ex: “If I WERE taller, I’d wear high heels.” Love your videos!
Things I like about Lucy: 1)The music in the start and end + your dancing 2) The way you effortlessly speak English and I wish I could speak like you but I cannot because I am not native speaker 3) Your sense of humour I didn't study hard enough so I didn't pass the test and then funny sound
Hi lucy! Thanks so much for this vid, you worked hard to make it simple for the esl community. I have a question about the last example in the 3rd Conditional. (You wouldn't be tired, if you had gone to bed earlier. ) is this a mixed conditional? Is it correct if we say : you wouldn't have been tired, if you had gone to bed earlier ? Thanks in advance 🙏🙏🙏🙏

From Tan Xing Yi (SM1 A3 E 2022 Keat Hwa High School, Malaysia): Tan Xing Yi said, "If I were dinosaur, I would eat everybody" err... sus but trying to practice freedom of speech here, hahaha p/s: thanks Lucy for the amazing videos. Very helpful :)
If I were a butterfly, I would land on the flowers in a fall garden. Very lovely explanations of delicate tenses. My ESL students in California have wanted to know about the difference between "If I was" and "If I were" and I decided that if a Brit says they're both okay, then I can tell the students the same! (and colleagues, too)
9:05 Why isn't it "you wouldn't have been so tired"? We need would+have+past participle in 3 conditional, don't we? This particular sentence in the video looks like mixed conditional to me.
If i were an eagle,I would fly high in the sky🦅. Thank you so much for such lessons 💐.We honestly appreciate your effort in teaching English .🌹❤️🕊️🌷💮🌻🌼🥀🌸🏵️🌺💐🌹🌷best wishes
When I was a child, I've always used to say that if I were an animal, I would be an alligator cos it can devour everyone and everything, but no one can devour it!
Thank you so much for this lesson. I always struggle with conditional sentences. Everytime you teach something I always understand it. Today I had my english exam and I scored a really good marks. All thanks to you. Even I overcome my fear over phrasal verbs too. Love from India🇮🇳❤🙏🏻
ZERO -IF you Cut my wings , I Can´t Fly. -IF you break the phone , You Can´t Call to your mum. FIRST -IF you Cut my hand, I Won´t be able to drive my car. -IF you come earlier , I´ll give you a present. SECOND -IF I were you, I wouldn´t take that pills . -IF I were an animal, I´d be an Eagle.
