It's kinda sad how the quality of these films dipped as they got more money to play around with. The first movie felt genuinely terrifying because they were very limited in their effects budget and they were trying to go for a PG13 film, but the film was so scary for people they rated R for how much it scared people. Then 2 and 3 got more effects budgets and got more ridiculous as they went on.

Okay but if they are looking for plot and ACTUAL scary stuff these guys should watch hereditary. That movie has such an interesting plot and deals with actual high level demons from Christian lore.

The reason the demon would move into him when he offered himself up is that he's now willing to be possessed, whereas what you see David (the young boy) going through is the struggle between the demon's possession and the boy's own psyche which would happen before full-on possession. Since Arne offered himself up, he can become fully possessed immediately.

I like watching you guys but if you wanna understand the movie I feel like it should be a little less talking and more watching bc this movie it’s not liked by many but it’s a good movie to me it has a nice plot and you really have to watch it closely to understand it love watching you guys tho keep the scary stuff going🤎

I like your horror movie reactions. Very truthful reactions and I like that you take shots when you're scared. However, personally I feel the reactions would be improved by talking less. I say this purely because often people talk through horror movies as a distraction, and I feel that consequently if you were to talk less, you'd get scared more and feel the plot and suspense of the movies more. I haven't anything against what you're saying as some of it is pretty humourous, but I am just concerned that it perhaps takes away from how your reaction would otherwise be 😊

haha I swear I had the same reaction as Nick, like Wth was that, it was a stupid movie. James Wan should have directed it, like the other Conjuring movies. You can clearly see how the change of director affected the movie. It was terrible. Your reactions guys are always priceless :)

lmao i get that you guys are entertaining and making jokes about the objects and the "evidence" that they have collected, but it is very real and serious shit lol. That Annabelle doll has literally killed multiple people for poking fun at it's existence. The REAL Ed and Lorraine Warren house has their museum of ALL their objects and things that they've collected. Idk if you guys are skeptics or not but if you're genuinely interested in the ACTUAL real stories i'd suggest reading the book that Andrea Perron wrote about their real experience living in that house (the first conjuring film is about the Perron family). The real story is actually way worse than what was portrayed in the movie, and the director also refused to put certain things into the film because it was too graphic. Just some fun facts since i noticed you guys were just laughing at some of the REAL facts that happened to these families. Also Arne Johnson is a real person who has talked a LOT about his experience with what happened since being released from prison, and you can literally tell that he's been broken and traumatized by what happened.

I love your videos but I do have to say that if you stopped talking sometime and actually watched the movies you wouldn't continually be asking WTF is happening right now. Half the questions you guys have are all answered in the movie itself. All so to answer your question about how it always says the most frightening case of their career you have to realize that they had a very long career and that each of these cases happened years apart so at the time of the cases they could have easily been the most frightening at that given moment. Ed and Lorraine took cases until 2001 when Ed collapsed and spent 11 weeks in a coma. When he woke up he could not talk and never recovered his speech. He died in 2006 after having a heart attack. Lorraine continued working after Ed's death well into her 80's possibly later. She passed away in 2019 at the age of 92. You said that the defense didn't work but it did work since he was originally charged with murder. It worked well enough that the charge was reduced and he only served 5 years instead of life or being sentenced to death. He did the killing so of course there would be consequences for that. Even if he wasn't aware of the actual crime. What it boils down too is that he committed the crime while under the influence whether that influence was drugs, alcohol or in this case demons. The gazebo comes in at the point that Ed was trying to kill Lorraine after the women blew that stuff in his face. They had their first date at a gazebo that looked like the one Ed bought Lorraine.

"The court accepts the existence of God every time a witness swears to tell the truth. I think it's about time they accept the existence of the Devil." This was such a good, chilling line. You would think that for the multitude of cases that the Warren's have handled, that SOME would get a case in court. What the Warren's do is dark and shrouded in paranormal mystery--until now, when it is dragged into the light of the legal world. Seeing different settings in The Conjuring universe such as the courthouse, morgue, police station, and prison ward were refreshing firsts. But at the same time, this type of "post-haunting" realism took me out of the well-established, in-universe immersion. The movie's switch up made for a decent, interesting contribution to the series, but it did not do any favors for it in terms of fear-factor. It felt more like a gritty cop drama than part of an infamously scary horror series. I preferred their previous, simple formula of "a big family in an even bigger haunted house deals with a demon(s)". I'm still looking forward to the impending 4th movie in the series, though! Hopefully you guys have your demon and/or alcohol insurance for that one!
