Did anybody notice that the music slows down whenever a poltergeist comes (look at 20:33 ). It's amazing how much attention to detail there are in these games. Hope to see more of Chilla's Art soon!
Man: "Now i'm in a hurry. Can you please fetch me five beers and a pack of cigar?" Cashier: "Yes. Since you are in a hurry can i pass them to you one item at a time?" Man: " That'll be great!"
Goddamn, this blew up! I actually really like these Japanese VHS games even if they're janky and make little sense. I have to say I didn't appreciate the three minute text wall that came with the good ending though, hahahaha
44:13 - That noise/voice is horrific. I'm not even kidding. It is genuinely frightening and sent shivers down my spine. It's simple yet very effective in creeping me the fuck out. Very well done.
Wow, the good ending was super disappointing. If they had let you play that part instead (in whatever way possible), it would've felt way more wholesome. Anyway, thanks for the upload!
@@danterosales6985 I was trying to make a point that giving you text as an ending to an actually interesting game is not very satisfying. I'm not sure why it's that hard to understand or weird, but it's simply my opinion. Games can be used in such a vast, creative way to convey a message or emotions that simply flopping the script in your face at the end feels kind of lame and reminds me of 90s MS DOS adventures.
Thanks for making this video, but this game seems pretty lame. Not much content and basically the whole plot is in that true ending exposition dump at the end. Not a good way to tell a story.
having no commentary makes me extremely uncomfortable especially because this game is pretty silent, the lack of sound leaves me extremely on edge lol, either way I appreciate your playthrough!
if you go to the part when it's raining which is like 28:15 when he punches in and reads the letter from the manager, you can see rain inside the store too xD
This game looks kind of familiar, is it related to The Closing Shift in any way? The game design and graphics are similar, The way the game name is written on the main menu is similar to the way it is written in The Closing Shift Edit: I realized that both games were created by Chilla's art which is why they probably had similar design and graphics, but to some extent, plot ideas are borrowed too 🤔🤔
Hey We have an intense Drug dealer horror game coming out soon! Care to check it out? I can also send you demo when out. biggestgames.itch.io/hoodthestreets BiggestGames
