I've just found this channel, enjoyed the videos I've watched so far. We've had a Mink Camper for a couple of years, we love it, I fully understand it's not for everyone, but it does exactly what we want, we use it all year round whatever the weather. One of the reasons we bought it was for it's off road capabilities and it's ability to cope with the more adventurous (smaller) roads and interesting weather conditions, it definitely goes where most caravans can't.
Great little van. Very impressive and well built. From a practicality perspective, I did wonder where you would put your shoes when getting into the van. But I think I saw a shoe box on the inside hammock shelf ? Great fun van and great video Cameron
It is a great little caravan, but I am torn between this ones looks and the Lion Cub, this looks great but is pricey with no water tank, no sink, no cooker, or fridge. The Cub has all of these for 6 grand less? it would be nice to have both compared side by side?
Rather suitable for countries where the sun and UV index are low, such as the Nordic countries. The roof turns out to be too hot for the interior of the passenger compartment, an oven according to a dealer. Otherwise the whole thing is nice. However, the hitch boom seems a little long to me.
No doubt about that, yes. But it depends on the end user. If you want something that’s rugged and can be taken off-road in more extreme camping climates, there’s little else that can do what this camper does. It’s about appreciating the design for its intended purpose, not comparing it to everything else that’s on the market.
£20k is a lot of cash, in spite of the incredible engineering. I think it depends on what type of caravanning you participate in, if you go to a fully serviced site on a Friday, get a chippy tea and watch your tv for the whole weekend, than this isn’t for you! This could be a very good option for more adventurous weekend warrior?
Erm....how do you cook when the rain comes down and the wind blows? Very little protection from the elements except when you are asleep. Just a bed on wheels really. You can't live in it.
