Use hairdryer on the narrow part Put feet with 2 pairs of thick socks inside Stand up with your weight on the tip of the feet Wait until shoes feel cold Repeat 2 to 3 times Works best with leather and eva sandals
I called 5 shoe repair shops who said fabric won't stretch. With a salsa class coming up & red marks on top of my toes just from trying on the shoes, I tried the steam method with socks jammed in the toes. Helped, but not enough. I found this freezing method elsewhere so they're in the freezer now :) While waiting, I turned to RU-vid. I have high hopes! Dance shoes tight in the toes DON'T need that much water. Half fill a zip lock bag (expell the air), stuff the toes, put in plastic bag & freeze. PUT 2 zip lock bags in there in case of a leak!! If this isn't enough, another method is to rub alcohol inside the tight parts & wear to stretch. Happy dancing!
I'm gonna try this. For some reason I only have problems with vans fitting tight. They feel good in the store and hope they'll stretch after a while but they don't. This is why I never but shoes online
Piano man42 the master of common sense uses a water bottle squeeze out some water don’t pour it out put the top on very tight you’ll creates air pocket in the bottle jam the bottle into the show making sure the cap is down in the shoe at the heel then freeze
I usually get my nikes, size 12.. for some reason, this time, left shoe tight af.. i get same nike every 5 months or so- someone must have cut it wrong! Gonna give this a spin!
And do u have remedy to fix the shoe smelling fridge? I'd recommend u stuff a bunch of newspapers in ur shoes ( Mens pairs ) and blow dry it all over the outer surfaces. ( ensure laces are tied up while heating is in progress ) Your done.
This hack actually does work!! Used it for a pair of cosplay heels that were too tight around my bunions (I have horrid dancer feet lol)! My bags did leak in the freezer and I have to wait for them to melt completely, but I’ll try to update when I see what happens to the shoes after they dry!
Mine are in the freezer, so there's still time! How much water was in the bags when this happened? I was afraid of this so I put just enough water to fit in the tight toe area & left a bit of open space after expelling most of the air. Thanks!
@@AllChocolateDiet I agree! Also, update: in MY case, this actually helped the shoes fit better, since I took a hairdryer to them while they were on my feet and then let them dry the rest of the way, but I don’t think it would turn out too well for some materials. MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE-BAG THE WATER!! Don’t want any mistakes!! 😜
this dont work at all with that bag... water bottle is better, but im never putting my shoes where my food is ...SMH and they arent doing it either. Rachel Raye, just stick to food... shit!
@@reoreborn1209 What better methods do you suggest? I've found several online that don't damage the glue or any part of the shoe. Worth a try unless you're willing to buy a new pair of salsa shoes (they're "my size" but unfortunately didn't realize weren't wide enough til I spent a night on them🤷♀️Ouch!)
quality shoes are sown, not glued. the stitching will not come apart. but if you wear cheap plastic shoes, then yeah, the glue will weaken as it is frozen and cracks.
I tried doing that but the pasting of sole came off a bit(may be because low quality or maybe I should have wrapped it in a plastic bag or something! But it did not loosen the shoe!!!!!
mel grant well, I just bought some low cut boots and they fit fine except they’re too snug on top, and a larger size is too big, so only need to stretch the top out, which is done easily with a rubber mallet. So, maybe think before you speak.
I was told by 5 shoe repair shops that fabric doesn't expand, only leather! I beg to differ.. Always do your research online, some professionals are out of touch with other methods 🤷♀️ There are many ways (microwave if no metal involved) steam with socks or newspaper stuffed in, freeze with water bags as shown - or simply rub alcohol on the inside of the tight parts & wear them around for a while😊There's hope!
Idiotic. Common sense says this will never work. To see how this freezing water idea works try this for example. Fill up a glass jar to overflowing. Seal it with the top. Put it in the freezer. Then as the ice expands there is nowhere for the ice to go. It would then most definitely break the glass. Punch out the metal lid. The bag you put in your shoe is not rigidly contained and will not stretch anything. Not even the plastic bag. Don’t waste your time.
These shoes work with the Peloton bike+ (April 2022), ru-vid.comUgkxGPkov2mNjgZfG33r6Bwvies8jKE4AKZB and are of good enough quality. I have completed 10 rides so far and there are no issues. The first time trying to fit them on the Peloton bike took 10 minutes (even with the help of an experienced cyclist friend who wears the same type of cleats). It took a couple of rides to break in. After the first two rides there were no issues at all.
