The animation in the end really does examine how humans perceive the nature of other beings. The scholar was convinced when the fox turned into the beautiful woman that it would overcome its nature of being a yaoguai. They fell in love, got married, had a child and watched him grow up. One day, the scholar returns and sees his child dead (and what I presume his other family members) by his wife's hands. The scholar wakes up and finds the fox in its original form. Convinced that the fox yaoguai will bring harm because of his dream, he kills it. And takes its pelt. In the end, he was convinced that once a yaoguai, always a yaogaui. In essence, he was convinced that the fox's nature will never change. "The nature of the thing is more important than the form of the thing."
The story was inspire by the old ancient tales that Chinese pass on for centuries about a scholar and wolf. Scholar saved a wolf who was injured by hunters with an arrow. After saving the wolf from the hunters, he heal the wolf. Once the wolf was fully recovered, the wolf said to the scholar, since you heal me, why don't you satisfy my hunger too. So the wolf attacked the scholar and tries to eat him. In the end an old farmer came by and saw the wolf trying to eat the scholar, so the old farmer told the wolf if you're hungry why don't you eat some food I have in this bag. The wolf was intrigue by the offer so he comes to the old farmer and the old farmer trick the wolf, there was no food in the bag, and he catch the wolf in his bag and tied him up. The farmer then gave the trapped wolf to the scholar who then proceed to smash the wolf to dead with a rock while it's trap in the bag. The old farmer then reminds the scholar that wolf is always a wolf, everything has its nature. This story was told to Chinese kids through the centuries to remind the kids not to be gullible.
the main idea of the chapter 2 is "一念成佛,一念成魔" = "one thought to be buddha, one thought to be demon" it means good and evil could be divided by just a single thought. like in the cutscene, the man saved the fox by just one thought (it got hurt and needs help) and killed the fox by just one thought.(it's a fox in nature and will never change) also spoiler alert: yellow wind risked his life to save the flowing sand country ages ago, just by one good thought. (yes he was a very good rat) then he ruined this entire country, also just by one evil thought. (and he turned into a very bad rat) also the fox's story will get a small follow-up ending in a sidequest in chapter3, which makes this story even more sad.
Bruh I swear Jett is literally an uncensored version of Coryxkenshin Edit: I know Cory and Jett are two different people…don’t let that go over your head plz
Jett, you need to go back to Chapter 2 and complete the Drunken Boars side quest. Also, there are two waterfalls-one in Chapter 1 and another in Chapter 2-that both unlock a secret boss. You'll need a hidden item for the waterfalls, which is located behind a breakable wall (use your spirit) right next to the First Prince of the Flowing Sands boss
I was quite proud that I discovered this on my own. I’ve been taking my time with this game but I see others just blasting through it and being like “ItS ToO LiNeAr” 🙄 This game has a lot of hidden content.
@@abril9691 i just did this quest by accident lol. Basically find him on fright cliff, he will ask for sobering stone, give it to him youll probably already got this items if youre explore enough. After that travel to tiger temple and give him some food i forgot, and then find him in the original place and you unlock the secret area & questline by defeating a secret boss.
It's definitely going to be a classic. Like after 20 years later, people have forgotten this game, and then they hear that song again and it takes you right back to memory lane.
3:20 Ultra instinct moment 8:38 Lil bro got SHUT DOWN 9:18 That 'DUDE' is so real 17:24 A REAL NINJA NEVER GIVES UP 27:07 Creepy ahh dude 29:00 It finally happened. PERFECT PARRY! Jett no joke has some great skill on this game when taking into account that this is his first run. He not only succeeds, but also makes it look cool af
bro i fr cant believe you killed the tiger and the rat that quickly, huge respect brother, both took me about 10-12 tries, so fr congrats! you never disappoint
Several Asian folklores, including both Chinese and Japanese mythology, share an idea of the "fox spirit" that can change into the form of a beautiful woman. They're mostly seen as evil figures, trickster monsters like Sirens, who seduce you and eat you, like the chinese character Su Da Ji, or the Japanese Kitsune. The story depicts a man who saves an Arctic Fox from a hunters trap and wraps its wound, and afterwords falls asleep, dreaming of the fox shapeshifting into a woman and falling in love with him for saving her. They live a whole life together before her true nature is shown and she eats his children and grandchildren. So he wakes up and kills the fox, turning it into a nice fur scarf so he can avoid the whole thing altogether.
love you jet, will you ever possibly revisit the original red dead and play undead nightmare? Me and I'm sure a bunch of others would love to see you play it
Jett I love that you’re playin tf out of this game too❤ but pls get some more of the side upgrades. There’s tons more boss fights out there for you to fight:) keep the videos comin tho I love watchin how you play the game vs how I do
No but it's a Shanxi Region Traditional Folk music called 说唱【shuōchàng】. In English the literal translation of that is "Say Sing", a traditional way of storytelling for people from that region.@@BigCDaGoat
It’s so good seeing Jett just having a good ass time after all the dark and depressing stuff he’s been playin lately. Hell even Red Dead 1 broke him recently. Keep it up my guy! Love the content! Subbed back in October! ❤️🔥💯
Jett I knew this series was next with how close it was after your last TWD telltale upload but I’ma skip on this one and watch it all after I played myself, made it a week with no spoilers I’m block the gameplay while typing this lol
Jett just read the in game lore in the journal. You'll get hella mythology and context there. Also get to reading the original novel (Journey to the West) if you can, since this game is set after that main story.
Jett, you and a few others have inspired me to try and become a streamer. I love your videos and energy, bro. You're underrated now but I believe you'll be as big as CoryXKenshin soon! I've just started Black Myth Wukong and i have nothing but a Ps5 so no editing software or nothing. I just dove right into this! It would mean the world to me if I got a Sub from you and if not, I completley understand!
jet, next you should explorer all secret bosses in chapter 1&2 and theres backstory too how every character boss is exist and fight you and hidden items
Can you parry in Black Myth: Wukong? The short answer is no, not in the traditional sense. But you can deflect enemy attacks, and to do so requires the Rock Solid spell. This is a defensive spell that will allow you to stagger enemies and open up the possibility of performing counterattacks.
There is another parry - like mechanic called See Through. You do a heavy during your light combo when an enemy move is about to hit and it'll nullify the damage and allows the attack to go through
Hey JETT u can use ur other stance to climb ur staff n avoid ground attacks ( like where the shockwaves travel thru the ground) n u still get the extra damage from charging it up
The singing from this man is incredible it gets my so hyped everytime🔥🔥🔥and i am loving this game alot the further i go and i know you will too it's so nice to see you smiling again and just enjoy a game like this! The tiger is one of my fav bosses so far and can't wait for chapter 3 i think your gonna love that even more🔥💯
Hey jettro, I think your either missing loot or fighting bosses to early I think your damage output is lower than it should be, reason being my gameplay results show a little more damage output but it could also be lack of upgrades. Although I get that it can be time consuming to gather exp. Either way love the content brother keep it up and stay safe✟
Jett, remember the guy towards the end of the chapter who was talking about the tigers acolyte and the secret kingdom? Well, he actually wasn’t referring to bosses you’ve fought before. I won’t spoil them, but there are a ton of secret and hidden bosses in this game that are definitely worth finding and fighting. I highly recommend searching them out. I actually think you missed a couple in chapter two, so it might be worth going back and fighting them.
Bro Jett is goated for beating Yellow Wind Sage without Wind Tamer. That boss is so crazy he had me on a whole ass side mission in a whole nlsecret map just to get something to help me beat him.
its sooooooooooooooooooooooooo fcking amazing that he post videos that are 40 mins or so so he can just post more of them maybe daily this man is just amazing
For a better parry try to time in on the first or last strike of a enemy combo or parry their one hit move, parrying in the middle of an enemy combo they will usually just ignore it. Cheers !
Jet, go back to that cave where exactly where u found the single big rat, on the left there's a black textured wall, headbutt it with that big head spirit guy. take the item u get from there and go back to the black wind, mountain outside the forest shrine, take the left path and follow it til u get to a water fall. go in the waterfall and fight the boss in there. then go to rockrest flat grace in the sand area and look for a sand water fall there too. go fight the guy in that waterfall and then you've begun making progress in getting a 108 damage staff. Hope u see this.
