I first learned of the New Fantastic Four playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. You could play with any 4 characters and if you picked a team they got bonuses. I pretty much randomly picked these four and it had a bonus for playing as the new fantastic four. I then stopped playing the game and spent the next several days trying to find out what happened in this story.

5:04 Hi, future here! Turns out, that's exactly what they did. Except Super Skrull is called Gravik instead of Klurt. Mr Incredible is Groot, the Human Torch is the Extremis virus, the Thing is Korg, Invisible Woman is Ebony Maw from the Black Order, plus there's Captain Marvel and Abomination. And to think, by now they already have the rights to the Fantastic Four...

The Punisher has a copter. The Punish-Copter. It deals deadly Vigilante Justice to criminal scum so they never get up again. Its rivaled only by what is considered the strongest Copter in existence. The Mad Titan's Thanos Copter. The Thanos-Copter. Their battle is said to be never ending and to this day you can hear their propellers whirl in the air and their guns fire in the night.

This is probably my favorite comic book podcast of them all. I LOVE Sal's description of the comics, he tells the story the way I would in describing it to friends, stupid parts and all, and he's FUNNY to boot. GREAT podcast, guys, keep it up...though I would've loved hearing Sal's take on Lord Malvolio during the Green Lantern Rebirth episode (Malvolio appeared in a strange back-up tale in Action Comics when it was an anthology, and many theorize he was to be used as a back-up plan for DC to worm out of Emerald Twilight had it failed, Google him for a better description).

OMG, I would DIE if I had to explain that to my mom and dad! The rape, the prostitution, the blue dick psudo-orgy thing... nooooooooo! I'd be so embarrassed! This is probably the best team in what Spiderman have been, the dinamic between a killing machine with razor claws, a rage monster, a spawn of hell and guy that just want to go home and live a decent life with his wife is probably the best dinamyc that has come out of him being in a superhero group (most of his participations of other groups are very meh or ok at best)

+Bob Mack I honestly glad that they didn't, if you want to reboot things and have a fresh new start, you need to give a proper ending for your charathers (wich they didn't) before doing it otherwise you ended up having a "New 52" situation when continuity doesn't make sense and all the fans have very mixed feelings about the whole thing.

In the late 2000's there was a 4 issue mini-series called Spider-man/Fantastic Four. The first three were all little bits added onto previously done moments where spidey teamed up with the FF. The third issue took place right after Delilah gets captured. Basically she gets free and causes everyone but the girls, Spidey and Ghost Rider to fall under her spell. To break the spell spidey ends up making out with She-Thing and Invisible Woman. All in all it's a silly but fun read. For the life of me I can't find the fourth issue anywhere.

My Earth-2 group of Comic Pop replacements would be slightly older versions of everyone and a bit more grizzled. Sal would be Mike Stoklasa, Ben would be Jay Bauman, and Ethan would be Rich Evans. A good April Fool's joke would be if RLM and Comic Pop switched episodes for 1 show.

Is there any chance you will ever do a Star Wars comic? Specifically I think Dark Horse's Dark Empire would be a good read. It's a 90s comic set after Return of the Jedi, and it's not like some of the Star Wars EU that requires tons of backstory knowledge. The story is interesting, but I would love to hear what you have to say about the art and storytelling itself.

The new Comic Pop New Sal: Rick Sanchez (from Rick and Morty) would actually demonstrate how the stories played out in real life. New Tiffany: Heromine (from Harry Potter) would hate Dr Strange for all the inaccuracies. New Ben: Peter Venkman (from Ghostbusters) doesn't care about in depth lore about demigods and shit. New Ethan: Spock (from Star Trek) would constantly correct Rick about how none of this makes any logical sense.

When I was little, I bought a FF comic to see how I liked them. This was the one. I remember it being confusing (like I thought Thing was gay, I didn't know that Thing was female at this point). Never picked another one up. Glad to know it wasn't representative of the FF.
