The zzyzx is hands down the best balisong of the year and a true masterpiece. I cant get mine out of my hands cause its been one of the best flipping balis ive ever tried
One of my new favorite Balis. Paul is a great dude and deserves the support on this project. He’s put a TON of work into it yet has kept the price lower than most of what else JK has machined. Absolute grail.
Wasn’t able to attend BladeShow but I did order a ZZYZX from shop soet. I have to say, this balisong immediately became my number 1. It flips beautifully, sounds incredible, looks super cool, and that unboxing experience was unparalleled. Gotta say, the lines on the chamfers are amazing for how much grip and control they offer. You wouldn’t think something subtle would effect flipping so much but it does and in such a positive way.
Man I love Pall/DamnRight, that dude is the real deal. Genuine good man. I've spoken to a couple people who have owned many grails like Ceroni and JK knives, and they've said the ZZYZX somehow blows them out of the water and has become one of their absolute favorites of all time. As far as I'm aware this is the only knife he's ever produced, so it's pretty impressive. Love that he gave his knives lore and a soundtrack(I'm a child of the 80's, this soundtrack kicks ass lol), some next level flavor right there. This man put more care and attention to detail to this knife in ways other makers don't even think about. And he even kept a couple unsharpened for people who just want to flip and not EDC. Top tier knife release all across the board.
which is actually kind of funny cause if i recall the ZZYZX are machined by jk so now jk has made two knives for others that are more interesting then his main lineup imho.
@@chucklesdeclown8819 lol it's true. It's a shame the Goose is out of production now, but that and the ZZYZX are both waaaay up on my list above something like the Orca. Unfortunately the JK tax is still included in the price of the knives he helped make.
@@ahorserunning and it's not that any of his knives are bad per say, I like his blade shapes but there was that post from long ago where he said "I went hard on the grinder for this one" and that's my favorite one, honestly I wish jk went hard on the grinder a little more often.
@@chucklesdeclown8819 Was that for the copper and nickle infused bargo? I'm not sure which knife it was for, but I absolutely remember his "went hard on the grinder for this one" post lol I just wish he would go a little less hard on some of the pricing. It looks like the amber ultem Orcas were a fail and he dropped them, but at the time the only thing preventing me from buying one was the 500 dollar price tag for a trainer blade on plastic
I love my zyzzx, it is my new favorite flipper. Great grip, sound and balance. Might be slightly more challenging to sharpen due to the curved shape. Will said "i can already tell the tune on this one is fantastic." I must have gotten unlucky on the tune. Mine came with a considerable amount of slop, safe handle almost had tap. I hope that replacement hardware becomes available on their website. I would still recommend buying one if you can swing it. A very cool, well designed knife.
Plus i really enjoy you're vids and that is what inspired me too buy my first balisong and it's amazing! Plus i want to invest in a better channel knife what should I get?
Love my zzyzx! The audio tracks are a bonus I didnt know about untill watching this video! But definitely a great unboxing with extra goodies to disply on my shelf!
I'm trying to understand what I'm supposed to do with that blade. It might remove ice from a windshield, but it would scratch the glass. Removing bubble gum from under a school desk?
Hey, I recognize that case at 0:02 lol. Also, I am seriously regretting passing up the ZZYZX after watching this video. My lord I gotta get me one of those.
