Fantastic break. I was actually at the match where Steve Davis made the first televised 147 at Oldham in the Lada Classic in 1982. His prize for getting the 147 was a Lada car 🤣🤣🤣

I can see another one or two before the championship is over. They are becoming more regular as the fine cloths, light balls and non-kick chalk makes conditions perfect for these cue craftsmen.

The irony is that it had to happen again Ryan Day who thought he'd get a £15,000 payday, then had it cut down to £7,500 by Robertson and then cut down to £5,000 in the same match, to now get a front row seat to a £5,000 loss 😂😂

Back in 80s and 90s, A 147 at the world championship netted you £147,000.. And you earned the highest break money on top lol. We soon saw that drop and keep dropping as players got better and better at high scoring and those 147s became a lot more common around the snooker circuit. Tight bastards! it's still a special moment on the big stage.

I know it's a tiny thing...but I wish the referees would go about their job with just a little bit more speed. I think it would help the sport. You're not rushing the player, unless they are easily influenced, in taking the next pot quicker, but I do think the refs need to up their time around the table.

@@sliwek102 Wilson jest młody, głodny i przede wszystkim ma mental, więc co do zdobycia MŚ to bym go nie skreślał. Prędzej on go zdobędzie niż taki Ding, który nic nie gra od lat. Tutaj też dochodzi kwestia losowania, ustawienia drabinki oraz innych aspektów, ale z uwagi na jego zaciętość jeden tytuł powinien ugrać. Ma narzędzia, by to zrobić. Pozdrawiam.
