Powerful vocals that carry a subtle sense of melancholy. Beautiful lyrics, I like how it was written. Like a conversation that flows. The MV pushes the song to another height, creatively blocked and cut. The eyes of Aplin looking into the camera, makes me feel guilty, if not, questions myself how I perceive love. Simply powerful and beautiful!

For those of us still trying to figure out what it is...I just know it hurts sometimes. The location, clean video production and the song, really resonates...a person thinks he is putting a lovers heart above his own, while the lover thinks that she is also doing that....problem is, neither can see the others intention or they only selectively notice what the other is doing. Luckily this song is way more beautiful than I am smart (and I think I'm sort of smart!)

It's a beautiful song and I really admire your take on it too. That's the beauty of music. I'm still trying to figure it out...maybe I'm wrong but my take is that one of them is still in love with their ex and that's why it can't work out. It says And if I gave you one thing It was my best impression Of someone you loved But it wasn't enough No, it wasn't enough....a beautifully written song, with beautiful scenery too. I'd love to hear everyone's take too and hope people reply. That's the beauty of music. It should paint a story in your mind when you listen

@@nantz8837 yes, great interp as well. I thought they each did things to make the other think that the other didn't love the other, but he tried act as if he was a person that had hope that he was still loved by her. He did an "impression" of being someone she loved. Like he acted as though she must love him...meanwhile she's not feeling his love and think's he's feeling nothing; they both just don't understand what the other is doing, or going through, so they both hurt. Men from Mars, women, venus. And yes, I encourage others to chime in on the interp...hey Corona's, Gabby? HELP!!
