Brotato is a top-down arena shooter roguelite where you play a potato wielding up to 6 weapons at a time to fight off hordes of aliens. Choose from a variety of traits and items to create unique builds and survive until help arrives.

A spaceship from Potato World crashes onto an alien planet. The sole survivor: Brotato, the only potato capable of handling 6 weapons at the same time. Waiting to be rescued by his mates, Brotato must survive in this hostile environment.

Yeah, the theming of these characters is phenomenal. The mechanics have a really good crossover with the intended 'story' of the character, which leads to effective emergent storytelling - like you refusing morphine early on in your career, while you're still grounded and struggling, but the moment you get ahead of the rest and start getting promotions, you immediately get into morphine because you can afford it ... also the addictive items are JUST really funny

its an amazing mod. I think not collecting any materials until you get more harvesting makes this character really busted

@@Retromation yeah it kinda is. Well what it does is, for every material you pick up, 1 extra will drop when you kill a enemy.

@@SniffinZergs it's not how it work, i also think torn pocket gain more money for me at first, but torn pocket is just drop money you already have, it only good if you have metal detector or have baby elephant, lucky char etc...

i feel like the weapons were much more of a reason you struggled than the character itself, i think this character would work much better with other weapons, also, i magic mirror love me some 2 glasses of magic mirror wine with my burger

It would be nice if other characters had a stat or stats that automatically scaled with level in addition to the base +1hp and reward stat. Could be used to meter some of the blatantly overpowered starting stats and make more characters viable for endless pushes

In honor of the upcoming Zelda game, I'd love to see a character based on Link. Starting weapon choices: Sword, Boomerang, Hookshot, Bow, Crossbow, Slingshot, Stick. Abilities: An elite enemy appears on waves 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18.

Should bottle and cactus club projectiles scale from 100% range damage? As you don't heavily invest into range and melee so both weapons feel bad at present.

The early game on this character is rough as hell, I tried a few days ago with ghost scepter and the armor penalty combined with the unabilty to buy or level up for a few waves is insane. It's a very cool concept though
