The correct pronunciation of Dr. Eggman's first name (Ivo) 

pinning this comment because y'all keep bringing up his incorrect "eye-voh" pronunciation being used in a Sonic and Tails R episode that released since this video. of course I watched Sonic and Tails R, it's fantastic! but I immediately noticed Mike's little accident there. I made a post on Tumblr with my thoughts on that, so I'm just gonna copy and paste it here: "It probably happened because nobody working on Sonic and Tails R reminded Mike of the correct pronunciation and they might not have even known it in the first place as not many do. He clearly didn't realize the mistake and nobody else working on it could correct him if they didn't ever know the correct way in the first place. This is why I wish they'd have Eggman correctly pronounce his first name in a game, so it could be wider known. Both Big's Big Fishing Adventure 3 and Sonic and Tails R are fan projects where Eggman says his first name in two different ways, so people could argue both aren't credible as they're not official, despite Mike's involvement. But the very first instance of him pronouncing it as "ee-vo" was actually in the 2015 Twitter Takeover, which is of course official. The BBFA3 trailer was in 2017, so Mike must have remembered the correct way from the takeover then. I remember that on Twitter at the time, people were replying with confusion towards the way Mike had pronounced it as "ee-vo" in the BBFA3 trailer because I guess they hadn't heard/didn't remember the takeover. I recall Mike saying something along the lines of "Sega has an Ivo on the team, so they'd know how to pronounce it". That implies that he was actually told by officials to pronounce it that way for the takeover and he didn't just search for it or something. Meanwhile, that's not the same case for BBFA3 and SaTR. My guess is that he remembered the correct way for the former's trailer since it wasn't that long after the takeover. But there has been quite a bit more time between BBFA3 and SaTR, so he must've either forgot or was just going with what the team told him, which is understandable. “Ee-vo” is definitely still the correct pronunciation as that’s how the actual real name is typically pronounced and Mike has still used it two different times, including the one 100% official instance of the three."

I know that the correct pronunciation is technically "ee-voh" but I still prefer "eye-voh" it just sounds more natural for me personally.

Basically, the chief brand and business officer, Ivo Gerscovish(the guy you see in the Sonic Centrals) is inspiration for how Mike properly pronounced Eggman's name should be pronounced. It just that in the recent Tailstube, Tails accidentally pronounced it "eye-voh". It doesn't help that this has been a discussion that lasted for a while.

Mmm k alright but I'm too far gone when it comes to my horse in Botw he's an eye-vo (My horses in Botw are named after the Robotniks, my main being named Ivo, who I've called eye-vo the whole time because previously when looking it up I'd found clips where it was pronounced that way. Recently ish I googled it to find out what the name means and it said I was pronouncing it wrong, so I am here)

It was interesting and cool hearing Mike pronounce Dr R's given name correctly during the twitter takeover… …but I grew up listening to Long John Baldry's mispronunciation so that's what I tend to use even though I know better. Based on EggEmperor's pinned comment, seems like some of Sega's own staff don't know better either -- "Ivo" is a Slavic name with the same root as "Ivan/John" (and "Robotnik" is a real Polish word -- an old epithet for a factory worker)
