I won't lie, I didn't think there was a chance in a hell this would work with my Liftmaster. I had been trying for days to get the company recommended method to work and was willing to give anything a shot. Will this man's video worked like a charm on the first time...the guy us a miracle worker.

These instructions are still working, beautifully!!!! I had a cat sitter at my house for three days. It looks like she took it upon herself to cancel the temporary 4 digit code I had programmed in the keypad on her final exit. So, instead of changing the 4 digit number, I had to start all over again and program the keypad. Thank you, again, for these instructions!!!

Thank you for your video. I was having problems programming a new keypad while following all the instructions which came with the keypad. When I followed your guide, it worked the first time. The difference was that in your video you indicated: "Enter and Hold the Enter Button until the light blinks", other instructions said, "Enter and Release the Enter Button" which is incorrect. Other RU-vid videos also had the incorrect instruction.

Thank you for posting this video. I was following the instructions on the keypad, and was getting nowhere!!! The key for me was in the final step. 1.) Press the learn button on the garage door opener, 2.) put in the 4 digit code, 3.) HOLD the enter button until the garage door light flashed or I heard a click. Holding down the enter button was what caused the keypad to work. Thank you again for posting!!!!!!

Took a few tries but I was able to enter a new code since the previous owner had moved out. So far so good! Great advice and well done video. Thank you 🙏

I just got off the phone with Chamberlian. We got my remote to work BUT there is a secret that they had me do that everyone should know. To clear the KEYPAD memory and restart with a clear brained keypad, they had me do the following: - Press and hold the ENTER button for 45 seconds, then release. On some models: Press and hold the ZERO 0 button for 45 seconds, then release. If in doubt, do BOTH. This clears out the memory of the keypad. Then proceed with the above process in the RU-vid video above. This finally worked for me and got my keypad working again. (To recap. no matter what I tried including the above process, my garage door motor lights would never accept the code from my keypad and blink. But all other handheld or built-in car remotes associated no problem.)

You're the man. I guess I can't follow printed instructions without a video. I have this with the yellow learn button on a Security 2+ from a previous homeowner. Two extra things that helped me: 1. first, from the wall-mounted push-button opener near my door, I changed the settings of the light on the ceiling unit so the light's basically always off. I had the light to automatically come on when the garage door opens and when it detects movement, but during this keypad setup, the light is blinding when you're trying to press the learn button, and you can't tell if the whole process worked if the light is on in the first place, because the light won't flash to tell you things worked if it's already on. I assumed it would beep instead, but mine didn't. 2. I wanted to start my 4-digit passcode with a 0, but maybe that's a bad idea since the 0 number is so involved in the setup. It worked when I didn't start with a 0.

Great video dude. I have the same instructions but I was breaking the steps down according to the window panes in the instructions. So after putting in my PIN and the # I was waiting a second to enter once ( I have the yellow button). Now I Have to figure out how the LJ8900 signals that it's in learn mode.....YOur video made a ton of sense when you walked through it....
