This video demonstrates how to properly remove a Seiko SKX Diver Bezel. This is a method I discovered myself after failed attempts to remove the SKX Bezel using improper methods I learned from watching many RU-vid videos and reviewing online guides that are much more difficult and have the potential to destroy your SKX watch case. My method is much simpler and quick and will not damage your bezel or case. Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe if you find this video useful.

As I stuck the correct tool in, I said to myself that it couldn't possibly be that easy. But it was. Thanks a million.

I followed your video to remove the bezel from my Seiko 5 sports watch SNZH53K1. It wasn't rotating and needed a clean in soapy water followed by a drop of oil. The difficult I had was getting the bezel back on the watch by hand. I used a watch case press and this did the job.

Nice my bezel was so stiff I could barley move it so wanted to take it off and clean in there. This was so easy. Came off without a single scratch on my watch thanks to following this. Back on and it's smooth as it was new!

You are spot on with this correct advice ! I too only use the same case back tool when removing bezels from SKX, 7002 / 6309’s and have never scratched (yet anyway) à case as a result. Great advice and great channel. Keep the videos coming 🤙

Thank you SO SO SO much for this, this is an amazing way to do it. I''m a total noob at watches and I just followed your instructions and pop, the bezel came off with ease that way. Glad I had the tools too, but you might want a watch press tool to put the bezel back on because it's really hard to do by hand in my opinion. I just got my Orange 5KX and the bezel felt waaay too stiff and upon checking I think it was one of the pointy spring ends that hook inside the bezel that was too high up / rough because i could feel with my finger how pointy it was so I filed it down a bit, put some lube, put it back together, closed it and now it turns perfectly without any weird sound and having to rotate it so hard. Thank you again, my new watch is saved ! :D

Excellent! I am planning to swap bezel on my skx 013 next week (when it arrives). I will definitely do it this way. Thankyou.

I can only speak for skx 013. I bought it from an Englishman who offered modified at will skx 013s at eBay. Not quite cheap, the watch had been discontinued then ( March 2020). So mine finally arrived with sapphire ( instead of hardlex), NH 35 movement ( instead of 7S26), signed crown and a fully lumed bezel insert( he sold it as ceramic but I think it is alu or steel, anyways, its lumed) . The bezel was so stiff that I could hardly move it with one hand. He wrote (sorry) bs ( ‚will get better with time’,it definitely will n o t) so I tried my very best DIY. I popped the bezel off three times and corrected the spring but after popping it on again ( with a book) same. No progress. After weeks of frustration I tried („last time“) again. I removed the rubber ring and tried a few times until it popped on w i t h o n e „ b a n g“, before that I very often heard two b a n g s . Guess what, perfectly rotating bezel. So make sure to press it with equal pressure! Its stiff because its simply not smoothly aligned to the case. I think the rubber band complicates the whole procedure as well. It has nothing to do with water resist so my lil‘ darling has to live without the rubber ring. 😁 Cheers.

JLo you use a crystal press to put it back on

Four_Forty_Four_PM thanks for the reply. So it’s not possible to put it back into place without a crystal press?

JLo I’m sure there are ways. You just have to get inventive but it’s safest to use a press.

It looks easy on this video, but it's very difficult to do it on my turtle. I guess the Made in Japan versions are different, my swiss knife can't slice through the damn gap.
@FourFortyFourPM
@FourFortyFourPM 2 года назад
No difference between the made in Japan models. They are all actually made in China regardless of whether it says made in Japan on the case. If you open the case and look on the inside of the caseback it will say that the case is made in China.

Actually, the CORRECT way is to use a proper bezel removal tool.
