Mistakes are forgivable. What's unforgivable is that most of today's music is either mimed, backing tracks or auto tuned. I miss real live music like this.
I think Andrea sucking her thumb and almost doing it again at 3:03, show how nervous she is, that she's feeling the pressure as a frontman. She looked tense everytime their performance is being disrupted. I bet there's a big discusion after the show, lol
She mentioned in her book she has struggled with anxiety from a young age. Even though she appears confident on stage, she was a nervous wreck and the thumb sucking us a coping mechanism.
my answer to "how many mistakes we have made in one gig?" - the Corrs could have as much mistakes as they'd need to prove how human they are singing alive without no playback... and Andrea.... andrea could be forgiven for being so beautiful, naive, sexy, talented, gorgeous ecc.... ;)
Technically the "wrong note" Sharon hit while playing Along with the Girls was actually just her bow squeaking on the string- not due to a fault on her part. I'm a Violinist and sometimes it just happens lol :)
It's very professional though because all the musicians stopped quickly to dead silence. I have been in bands where the musicians don't have sense enough to stop at the same time when the leader says stop ..two people will still be playing which is annoying.
This is not 1999, because they sing "Would you be happier?", edited in 2001... and the songs from the album "In Blue", from summer 2000. So, this is Xmas 2001 ;)
Booo! Refund!!!! Just kidding. The first family of Ireland does not make mistakes. They seek perfection, hence the false starts, until they get it right... It's a public rehearsal, broadcast on the radio!
I’m guessing they don’t and just go in thinking they don’t need to like “we’ll be fine” it’s probably why she said she was so nervous when she was there.
even more shameful if you don't make a mistake because you aren't really doing anything. worse, if you aren't doing anything and even that you can't get right.
