The Corrs - Little Wing *DayOne Reacts* 

The Corrs!!! Not enough people know about them. Fabulous! Little Wing is one of the absolute classic rock songs. She is playing a penny whistle. The round drum with the handle is called a bodhran, used in a lot of Irish music (watch the Chieftains - the guy who plays the bodhran has a huge forearm). Little Wing is a Jimi Hendrix song, covered by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton and many others.

I absolutely love the corrs! I think this is probably one of the most solid covers of all time because it's so beautiful and they made it their own.

I have been a huge Corrs fan for years since they had their hits in the 90's. Listening to their live performances, I have seen that the basics of their songs are the same, but they can re - arrange the types of instruments that they play at any one time. This brings a refreshing twist to what you hear. And I think their music is real music Esp these days, with a Celtic Irish base. The band and the music was sent by God to us, so please enjoy QUALITY music played by QUALITY and BEAUTIFUL musicians.

The Corrs at their finest (imho) is when they're playing traditional Irish songs in their own arrangements, like "Toss The Feathers," "Haste To The Wedding," or "Paddy McCarthy." Of course there's the hits like "Runaway" or "Breathless," but you...."get" music, so I'd highly recommend you try some of the above suggestions.

"Little Wing" is a song written by Jimi Hendrix and recorded by the Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1967.

That's a tin whistle and the drum is a bodhran, traditional Irish instruments. The steel guitar is a dobro, an American invention i believe.

the Corrs are fantastic !!!! I've been a fan of theirs since the mid 90's.

The Corrs is my favorite band until now. They give a whole new meaning to "band". That's the tin whistle and Bodrhan(Bo-ran) drum. I love their whole Unplugged performance coz you can appreciate each instrument and Andrea's raw voice.

This is my favorite version of Little Wing. There's another live Corrs version with Ronnie Wood that is also terrific, but I love Anthony Drennan's Dobro solo in this version.

All time FAVORITE 'Unplugged' concert on MTV......is that 'Corrs' concert.

They are all siblings from Ireland. Other great songs to listen to are "Breathless", "So Young", "Summer Wine" and "When the Stars go Blue."

It was original written by Jimi Hendrix, got a lot of cover versions. My 3 favorite ones were from Eric Clapton in the 70ies, Sting in 1986 and this one of the Corrs in the 90ies !!!

The fiddle, bodhran & tin whistle are traditional Celtic instruments. Love it. I'm so glad you love it too. The tin whistle is also called a penny whistle.

Bodhran is an Irish drum . Very old instrument. Celtic. Great example of it ussed in a movie is on the score of ( last of the mohicans ) hand Zimmer. Check out . ( promantory ) you can find it on RU-vid. ( music no lyrics) but its beautiful.

Hi Angela, I'm going to suggest an artist who for some reason is off the radar in the reaction video genre. Lizz Wright has what I consider to be the most beautiful female voice ever recorded. I love The Corrs. I like Toss the Feathers, an electrified traditional Irish song. Little Wing is from Derek Dominoes' Layla and Other Love Songs album and maybe before that. I like this though. Steve Ray Vaughn and Tedeschi Trucks Band do great versions also.
