I met Sharon corr on her solo tour in 2011 on her solo tour in southern California. she is real as ever and so nice.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Mix article, I look forward to reading it when I've finished my Corrs binge on RU-vid. You're absolutely right, they're top class musicians and performers. Such great ambassadors for Irish music too, my heart swelled with pride as they launched into 'Toss The Feathers'.

Dónal O'Flynn That Mix piece is really “techy” my take is the level of sophistication to achieve their live sound is amazing. Also there is a great interview with Anto Drennan their long time guitar player here at YT (very long but some great Corrs stories. Also Drennan is an unsung player with a huge amount of talent and history. His lead and rhythm work with the Corrs is superb. Some of his playing is mind blowing.

They should have something like a "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame where the Coors could be showcased with other great bands. (Why is Cleveland ignoring this band???)

@@Vhaldemar90 Since music production got increasingly sophisticated and complex (mainly in the 80’s forward) groups utilized a range of techniques on stage. The truth is most groups use them, mostly in the pop music area but surprisingly, many rock bands use them as well. “Rush” uses some backing tracks! They are a fact of life. They enhance performances when used properly. By the way, what you hear in concerts is “controlled” by an array of processing via the huge mixing console at the back of the hall.

@@mikehaney6512 My niece has been teaching English language in Madrid, believe it or not during the pandemic. I forwarded a couple links of Sharon’s music and suggested she check her out. She said the music is not what she would listen to but if it presented itself she would. Made me a happy fan-boy. She may become my favorite niece.😁

I can never find words powerful enough to explain how much in awe I am of Caroline's drum work. Because she isn't the focus of attention, a newcomer to the Corrs could perhaps go a long time before it hits them how huge is her contribution. I think of her drumming as poetry.

Her sound is “enhanced” via sound system. When asked about Simon Phillips recording the drums on “Toss the Feathers” (first record) she said Simon blew her away and the hard part was having to learn what he played to perform the song live.

JohnLnyc She did a great job though. In their first live gigs of Toss the Feathers, she wouldn’t attempt the solo part. During the Talk on Corners era, she would do a simplified version of Simon’s solo with great effects. During In Blue, she would really do her own solo. Now she does a mix of Simon and hers.

Wishbone799 Actually Caroline is not a “technician” her stand in Jason Duffy is a technically proficient drummer. Caroline has her own style mainly from being self taught. In a way she is an integral part of the band’s sound.

Andrea isn't just cute, she's drop dead gorgeous and such a free spirit when she's playing the whistle. That said, I agree with you, I've always been a Sharon man. She's stunning, so elegant and graceful on the fiddle. How could you leave out Caroline though? She may be the third out of three and mostly in the background, but she's beautiful too and fit as fuck from playing those drums like an athlete, she reminds me of a boxer. The less said about Jim the better! Coming back to the Andrea vs Sharon question, I actually feel the very same way about the Séoige sisters. Síle's got the eternally youthful "girl next door" looks like Andrea, but Gráinne is the glamorous older sister who just gets better with age. I don't care what anyone says about busty blonde Eastern European girls or snow white leggy Nordic women, Mná na hÉireann are the most beautiful women in the world.

@@donaloflynn Been more than 20 years when I first fell in love with andrea so young and often barefeet singing her cutesy bum on stage. But 20 years is a long time. So much things has happened over the years. Family and friends since passed away, the distractions with work, my love interest come and goes good or bad.....and I thought the Corrs is lost to me over the years. Wasn't until few weeks ago with the crap of coronavirus going about that I was looking through YT and just came upon some stuff on the Corrs. Unbelievably the attraction is still there in an instant. Despite all that time I am still in awe with the Corrs. Such is their star power it never left me. And I realise Andrea is indeed one of the sexiest of all female singers, and Caroline is indeed one the sexiest drummer EVER. I can just watch her ta das and ponytail bouncing for hours and hours. So mesmerizing. And Sharon....phew what a woman. So elegant and raw beauty. The moment Sharon starts swinging her arms I get pure goosebumps every time, without fail. But what can I say about Andrea? The way she flick her hair, turning her backside to the crowd, her sultry eyes straight into the camera...…..hopping, skipping and jumping around like a cute nextdoor girl you once knew..... And lets not forget, they can play really REALLY good music. They will be one of my favourites...….

I bn to Ireland Dublin few yrs back and stayed at Jervis Arlington i was thr for almost a week Temple Bar Trinity - had a friend she was from Cork ... Wud visit Belfast to write on their festival for asian publication - next visit will meet you and go to Galway and yes meet Bono Corrs few others will put up near RedCow ..... Bye tk care
