I can''t stop watching and listening. I've probably put up a 3rd of the hits alone. So precise while making it look easy. My dreams of playing drum are gone, so I live through these videos. Simply awe inspiring.
Phenomenal work, Daniel! You look so relaxed playing this that it comes across as almost effortless, but I'm sure it's not and you're truly skilled in your craft!
Thank you for all your comments, I've read em all, sorry to hear about the arthritis.. You don't play anymore? Glad you like the cover man, means a lot! =)
JUST A LITTLE ANECDOTE AND THAT IS MICK FLEETWOOD PLAYED WITH THE CORRS ON THIS SONG AND THROUGHOUT HE WAS STRUGGLING WHILE CAROLINE DIDNT EVEN BREAK A SWEAT,HE HAD PROBLEMS KEEPING UP AND KEEPING THE BEAT WHILE TRYING TO BE FANCY .ALL I CAN SAY IS YOU MAKE MICK LOOK VERY INEPT SO AGAIN CONGRATS DANIEL ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tIi3AZe3Sik.html
Thank you, appreciate it. I've seen the video of them live, but on the recording of this song it's actually Simon Phillips playing, the video from the studio session is up here on youtube actually =)
Bro! Adolfsson! This is sadly not as popular a tune as it should be, and it should popular. I noticed you (or someone else) like having those LED lights, in your kick drums. Would you like them to go on and off, only when you kick the drum? You will even get decent touch/pressure response. I wanted to get this done for years and finally, I was in a mood to work it out a few months ago. I printed a box with a stencil of the logo of a band I play with often enough, and fix that to the resonant side of the kick drum. The 9v LED, inside the box, flashes with each kick. We now never go to a gig without our kick-flash.. he he he. Nice drum rig bro. I also just rigged all the drums I have onto a rack, that I made at home. Again, had it in mind for years and just got to doing it. If I bought the rack, it would have costed me loads. Each tom-arm-clamp is 30 to 50USD and I needed around 15. I figured, I have far more time than money. Keep playing bro. Peace and respect. BTW, do you pivot your wrists that much always, or is it just an expression of mood, that your in control off? (in control of how much you pivot your wrists, that is) You have >90 degree spins happening on your sticks at times, especially when you get into a roll.
Sorry for late answer. Thank you. I love reading through comments like this. Great creativity indeed with the lights. Never really thought of the wrists, but I'm in control yes, depends on what I am doing on the kit. And yeah, the rack is a must when the kit grows this big =)
Wow great drumming. Is it possible you could sent me a link to the drumless version. I'm a real ammature but the beat is great and I would realy like to try a bit.
Great job dude! :) Just heard this song again and wanted to try it on the drums. I thought it would be cool to add a bell at the off-beats in the chorus and now I hear you playing exactly that xD Btw your ride sounds good, which one is that? I've got the HHX Power Ride but I'm not really glad with it so far. But I haven't heard it on recordings yet. Keep up the good work ;)
Thank you. Sorry for late answer.. Yeah, I thought the same listening to this track. I have the 20" HHX Evolution Ride in this video and still use it to this day, love it! =)
I'm not sure if he uses them there, I just did my interpretation of what I thought I heard when recording this, also I watched some studio videos of him playing this song =)
Nice work! I'm going to be a bit pedantic and point out that the Corrs didin't write Toss the Feathers. In fact, it lost a lot of credibility as a session tune after they released their rendition. Pity really 'cos it's a great tune.
