@Angel Johnson Sorry if I come across as rude, but I'm wondering why in many of these episodes I see your comments about other shows being better than the Cosby show..I understand your opinion on this but people came here to watch the Cosby show irrespective of how it compares to other shows
For me...this scene catapulted Phylicia as THE actor and character on the show that sustained it #1 show for weeks and years. For myself I had no idea she could sing and be bilingual and have stunning beauty and class and the writers exploited all of it! 😍
Facts!! For me as a child, it was ALWAYS about Clair Huxtable…I saw my own mother’s reflection in that character. Phylicia Rashad will always have a very special place in my heart. ❤️👑
I wish that the show would have included more scenes with Claire's parents and her sister...their whole family was just beautiful! I love the Cosby Show because of the image that was presented within the show.
Phylicia Rashad, one of the most magnificent people to ever walk onto the tv screen. I love that they had her sing this with her dad. This duet is so simple and pure, it just makes me happy.
The Cosby show is my number one favorite sitcom of all time. I use to watch the Cosby show waiting for this episode to come on because I love Felicia Rashād’s Voice. Her voice since chills down my spine. So I actually got on RU-vid to search for this particular clip. Man I wish she could sing the entire song.
No, they were "after Bill" because he raped women. The fact that he was instrumental to creating a wonderful show that enriched millions of lives doesn't change that.
Imagine Bill Cosby, Mister Rogers and Barney met each other since they brought the show about lessons he met Mr. Rogers imagine he met Barney. An there reaction on allegations if Mr Rogers was here to this day
I know my comment will be a recent one but I don't care I love Phylicia Rashad and everything she do her voice and talent is everything the way she deliver her lines, the way she sings with good tone and breath quality, to her beauty and the way she carries herself.
My mom used to sing this to me and i would always cry now that i live far away i find myself listening to this i wanted to record myself singn it n send it to her but thats gt me cryn even more
Her voice is so clear like water these videos bring back so many memories like the times when my father and I would sing together orwe would dance together. Thank you for uploading these videos.
I understand why some people hate Bill Cosby. I am not on here to argue that point one way or the other BUT I WILL NEVER STOP 🛑 SUPPORTING THE COSBY SHOW!!!! It embodies everything missing in Black television shows. It was a middle to upper class BLACK FAMILY with morals, love and unity who respected our culture. Yes family moments, jazz, Black and Latino musicians and artists and Black history were manifested in all its GLORY!!! You can hate the Man but PLEASE DONT HATE THE POSITIVE MESSAGE THAT WAS CREATED!!
Ahh the good old days. Didn't matter what was going on in the world innocence and good comedy happened for half hour on Thursday night at 8pm on NBC. Great scene!
I love that most of the comments share the same sentiment. It would have been wonderful for her to sing in more episodes. Does anyone remember the jazz song she sang while walking down the basement stairs? I need to find that video on youtube next! Such a classy, well written show.
Did you know she was the "Understudy" aka Substitute in Dreamgirls. As far as I know she never had a chance to play Deena but look how well she's gone. Some of the "Original" Alumnae didn't go far after leaving The Play. On The UK Talent Show The X Factor a Young Lady named Alexandra Burke whose Mother was in Soul To Soul Sang Listen and blew The Judges away. They were Cheryl Ann Tweedy and Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud the most successful Group to come out of Reality TV in The UK.
The Lady that played Claire's sister could be Phylicia Rashad real sister she looks more like Phylicia then her actual sister Debbie and Look like she could fit in with the Allen sisters.
I love this. All the more reason why I hate Cosby for what he did. I cannot stand by and watch him live a lie of BLACK EXCELLENCE knowing he did wrong. I wish my Daddys were here for me to sing with them 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
