A well written documentary and video. How many Jamaicans will ever see it?

Jamaica needs to bounce back. I'm sick of the corruption, criminals, and hate. I love this country so much, I'm not even born in Jamaica, my family is from there, and when i go there it feels like im reborn. I want this country to thrive and be the best it can but so many people are inhibiting it form flourishing. Seeing poor people on the streets and hearing about gun violence in my family neighborhoods, is heart wrenching. Please everyone rise up and take what belongs to the beautiful people.

The main Thing for me is that how much Jamaican people will be watching this and try to help. the main part that hurt me was the dynamic development chart that showed how in the 1960's thats when Jamaica started heading downhill... i feel really hurt because like the Africans that sold each other into slavery... our own politicians killed our country and keep on selling out what we have left of it.

Well said, GG. Well said PM. Well said Mr.Holnss. Thanks Professor Munroe. You are very knowledgeable on the crisis of corruption, So are the other professors and the people. Has the NIA called for the persecution or impeachment of anyone yet? We need less talk and some acrion.

Looking forward to more. It is so sad to see that as a nation we are held back by corruption. How can one deny a nation a chance of a good education. Ignorance enslaves knowledge liberates

How many people know that Singapore was poorer than us up until the early 70s. They actually thought to look at us to pull themselves out of poverty. Funny look at where both countries are now.

The heart aches and you get to the very edge of losing all hope. NIA is an admirable example of people trying to right the ship but no single organization will ever be able to make a real dent in the now endemic nature of corruption in Jamaica. It may just be that the very system of governance itself should now come into question.

I am very familiar with some of the difficulties faced by people trying to do business in Jamaica and have complained among my associates that Jamaica was not going progress as it should if the corruption continued.

As a descendant of jamaicans I have as long as I remember been taught that jamaican polititions armed the criminal gangs from siaga , manley right through to golding and this seems not to be a secret!!! A head of state personally trying to prevent extradition of an accused drug lord? Ridiculous !!! WHY HAS NOTHING BEEN DONE? god free jamaican people for they are still in bondage just now the masters have the same colour skin

Excellent starting point since we have we have both wind and solar in abundance. We also have some of the richest soil in the world. And I have some good ideas on how to reduce the food price in Jamaica and also to reduce the price of health care. These things will help the people who need the help most, the poorest of the society.

Corruption, Crime and inept bureaucracy is killing Jamaica. I know so many people that would go back to Jamaica to start a business in heart beat if it weren't for those things. If you see a successful business person in Jamaica pat them at the back because they walked through fire. If you dont have connection trying to get anything licensing done with the government is like pulling teeth and then you have to deal with extortion, poor work morale and poor productivity.

Every country I've heard of who invest in recyling and renewable energy is doing better than the ones who don't since the global finincial crisis. About 20yrs ago Germany was in very bad finincial state and they decided to invest in renewable energy and today they are the ones bailing out other EU countries from the crisis. Greece. span, italy etc for e.g. Solar energy helps the entire country because you don't have to depend on oil

It is the fault of US, black people in Jamaica. You forget we control Government, police, military and etc, however when it comes to business we are terrible harnessing our potential. I see first hand non-Jamaicans move to the island; sometimes cant even speak English, and scrimp and work and create big businesses. We need to get our act together as entrepreneurs.

1. lower taxes to attract investments, There are countries the size of Ja with taxes between 1% and 4% and doing very well 2.invest in solar and wind energy. I heard of a little island off the coast of spain who energy is completely solar, and their economy booming.3 recycling. Ja would attract investments so fast if they lower taxes and interest rates and study countries that are doing well in this weak economic time

I agree with the commission findings but, at the same time if that monies were provided to the private sector, it would have been utilized efficiently. Government is inherently inefficient and no amount of regulation will never stop that. We need to restore government back to its core function. If there was a need for education back in the day, the private would've provided those schools

THE COST OF CORRUPTION - THE OTHER SIDE - JAMAICA WAS SINGLED OUT BY THE BANK TO RECEIVE A VERY SPECIAL LOAN - THE FACTS ARE THAT THE LOAN WAS A TRAP BY THE CORRUPT BANK & CORRUPT POLITICIANS.- OBJECTIVE (A) GET JAMAICA IN DEBT - (B) SECURE THE DEBT WITH VARIOUS HIGH VALUE JAMAICAN ASSETS -(C) DEVALUE THE CURRENCY - (D) REQUIRING ANOTHER LOAN FROM THE IMF - (JOHN PILGER AND JOHN PERKINS) - ET AL. A lot of the debt goes to paying salaries to public servants who want more and more and more for salaries each year from an economy that is not growing , and at the expense of all of us. All of us is in to some degree or other, but it is much more convenient to point the finger at the elected government.

Smith was never prosecuted in Jamaica and if Dudus were still here he would probably be a member of Parliament by now and maybe even a minister of government. Even some who have appeared in this video do not have clean hands So what is to be done?

That's what makes the US a powerhouse. People of all races, with great abilities, want to emigrate here. Who the hell would want to emigrate to Jamaica to live in a hell hole? The only good thing about Jamaica is the sunshine. But the sun shines many other places. Are you from Trenchtown? You are probably trying to get the hell out, right? The right place for you to live is Warica Hills. I bet you used to work for Dudus.

CORRUPTION is rampant in JAMAICA. #FACT. THIS VIDEO IS HIGHLIGHTING that fact and imploring that something should be done about it. What exactly is wrong with that? And what is the relevance of alleging that certain US interests funded the video?

Well, that's YOUR opinion. Somebody SENT me this video. Russian weapons have also been popular in Jamaica, especially the AK-47 assault rifle. I don't see you blaming the Russians for all the Jamaicans shot with AK-47's in the 1970s and 1980s. It's all America's fault, huh? That's the real problem with Jamaicans. No matter what problems you have, it's always somebody else's fault. You blame the people who make the guns, but you don't blame the Jamaicans who use them to shoot other Jamaicans.

I have no doubt that Jamaica is a beautiful island - but it is not a beautiful nation. As a nation - it is a shit hole. The island itself is fine. If only there were better people living on it. I did not invest countless hours learning Jamaican dialect. I once had a flat mate who used to play a lot of reggae music. After some time - I learned to understand what the hell the singers were on about. To raas claat.

If you don't know about the popularity of acid attacks in Jamaica - then you obviously know very little about Jamaica at all. I've seen this many times. A Jamaican on RU-vid told me that the population of Jamaica is 2 million people. I had to point out that Jamaica has a population of almost 3 million. You people need to go back to school.

I and I ah go listen to some old time rub a dub - some I Roy, U Roy, Burning Spear, Augustus Pablo. But you wouldn't know anything about that. All you know is dancehall style, and slackness. You are a ginal to raas claat.
