This is so comprehensive! Your accommodation costs were much lower than I was expecting. I think we would spend about tjr same on dining out because we enjoy it and after sightseeing neither one of us want to cook! Good info on the car rental, phone and electricity too. Didn't consider all of that.

Hi - may I ask whats the average wage is in the US and the taxe rate. In Belgium the average wage is +- 2000 € with a tax rate of nearly 50% (you earn 5000 you get 2500 in your hands ;()...

Thank you for all the detail information on Aruba and Curacao. on the car rental cost, $280 per week, did you rent the vehicle for 1 week or 30 days?

We only rented a car for one week. We walked and took the bus the rest of our stay.

Gee I did not expect it to be so expensive. I think nearly 4000 dollars a month is a lot. Of course accommodation is a huge cost. But anyway 30 dollars for a meal/person is not cheap. In Europe you pay about 30 € for a meal (and that is expensive already). Average wage is +-2000 €/month over here for a fulltime job. Couldnt afford to spend nearly 4000 dollar a month living on Curacao

Yes, it’s not for everyone. However we also shared the more affordable options as well. $550 monthly for a studio is not bad.
