I lived in Rwanda for 10years and I didn't find Rwanda expensive apart from everything being sold in Kgs. The only challenge is there's no variety of food in Rwanda. In Rwanda be assured of quality life style, security and cheap internet. Rwanda is very good at marketing and packaging

Kigali is very clean❤ but Kigali is not for ordinary rwandese I think it's more for experts that's why it's expensive than other East African countries. The truth the ordinary Rwanda people are poor. But the government has tried to put up a good infrastructure. There are two classes of people in Rwanda. There is that class that is well connected and shrive well around Kigali and other cities, then there is that lowest class of whom we normally see come to Uganda, they can't even write their names, they come in groups of 6 rent a small room and land, they are good farmers and have thrived well in Uganda. I think most of them are Hutus.
Cost of living is measured by cost of food, things that most people use. Even in Nairobi, prices of things are different depending on where you buy, including fuel. Lawyers and other professionals dont buy stuff from outskirts. They go to downtown supermarkets that charge exorbitantly, hence they will see Rwanda as expensive. Just go to the local market and compile prices, then compare. U will see that Rwanda is cheaper. There is no way food will be more expensive as you go towards West Africa, because the congo basin ensures those countries are very rainy and green, and hilly as well, creating moderate temperatures and volcanic soils allowing agriculture.

Well about the houses most of those apartments in those neighborhoods can only be afforded by NGO workers, diplomats, or expats but fosho not politicians. Most politicians own their homes, they don't rent, maybe that guy wanted to say that it was mostly afforded by politicians in the sense that they are mostly the owners of those types of houses in those cozy neighborhoods but certainly, I can tell you for sure that no politician can afford a $3000/month house because they aren't paid that kind of money ministers are paid around $2000, Senators and deputies it's around $3000. Even added on to other benefits like the gov't renting for you it usually doesn't exceed $800/ month In Rwanda, it's known that those houses that are specifically priced in USD are meant for expats, foreigners, or long-term tourists. Houses that Rwandans go for are priced in Rwf, not USD coz they are cheaper and it's done so because they rent for long-term not short-term like expats.
Ohhhh no no noooooo those houses for rent it’s not for only politicians no way here they can’t even rent they’ve own house these houses for rent it’s for anyone who can afford it , it’s doesn’t matter of who you are or what you do as long as you can afford it
