Do the 2013 genesis coupe 2.0t and 3.8 the 2.0t is a sleeper when modded stock engine can make 400+ and 3.8 can make like 330-340whp while NA really underrated cars
Cost me roughly $35k not including the car and considering I’m still running stock trans not the mazworx kit ($6k not including labor) 30-40k is roughly where you’ll be after it’s all said and done not including the car if you’re not cutting corners if you want your own “Hellcat Killer” could be done for less but won’t last long😁👍🏽 & Happy late birthday Charlie!🤘🏽
To be honest a middle of the road build being 25k all in isn’t terrible. Getting to build something fun and you are proud of but is still decently reliable and balanced for 25k is pretty good. Considering 25k today would get you a stock civic si which would be more reliable but way less fun for the same price.
Lost my stock 2014 FR-S due to Covid. Just got a 2019 86 TRD SE. Adding missing TRD options like intake, lowering springs, and whatever else is out there TRD. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!
Happy birthday!!! Honestly if folks want a good drag car for straight line drop a JZ in it or if you want an all rounder drop a k series turbo in it you will be well below the price listed here. (For the k series that is. Jz are expensive now lol)
"Drop in k series turbo" Dude... K swap alone costs over 9k, which utilizes stock trans, which you don´t want. So you will have to go through the pain of swapping trans, custom trans mounts, drive shaft etc. just to throw in the K, then you have to work on the turbo. These things aren´t as easy as they sound and they are very, very expensive.
In 2022, expect like 15-16k for a reliable build. Here's my list $2100 Fortune Auto 500 w/ swift springs $2225 exhaust $900 flex fuel + ecutek license + tune (local tuner gave me a deal) $800 professional tune from CSG (including the ecutek Bluetooth dongle and phone flash license) Used wheels and tires for $1100, upgrading tires gonna cost $800-1500, but $3k New wheels and tires + warranty from fitment industries w ceramic coat $5740 JDL Equal Length turbo kit w heat coating on hot parts and intercooler, GTX 2860r turbo upgrade, excluding injectors and fuel pump (don't need fuel pump if under 400whp, and getting injectors for 300 from a friend) so if you go UEL and add injectors itd be just about 6k. $853 clutch setup. Competition stage 2 with Verus clutch fork and clutch fork Pivot $390 Verus AOS (instead of oil catch cans) $600 CSG forced induction tune, returning customer puts me at $450. $600-800 Oil cooler $150-200 Electronic boost controller Might have forgotten something, but yea lol. And then I got my 2018 1 of 250 Special 50th anniversary Edition for $32k
Shits crazy cuz I went from FRS to M2 and for almost the same money some people put in to a build , I’m pretty much stock with downpipe/intercooler tune and will gap the living shit out of a boosted 86
Happy Birthday now time to party!!! ( FYI for your birthday I'd have done the STI and just got the stomach pump done and over with.) 🤣 I love how the more shots went down the more 🤬 word's started dropping. 🙌 ✌ + ❤ To all you guys at MAPerformancei
Pretty accurate calculations. My build is going to be estimated 35k to 40k Canadian when its all said and done. Providing I can find help won't have to digg as much out of my own pocket. Lol love your videos keep them going!
I have a full bolt on 2017 BRZ on E85 and I’m able to beat 350z, G35, TRD Camry, V6 charger, 328i, 428i, kept up with a 05 Mustang GT, Lexus IS350. Pretty happy with that. But thinking about a supercharger now.
I would not have expected the prices I am seeing. I have a 2020 brz rs, and was thinking it would be a low cost option to doing my 944s2. I spent 15 k on a block up rebuild on the 944, extra about 50 hp and turbo ready for the 3l in line 4. the prices I am seeing are similar for the brz, and although the brz is a great car for the price, almost 30k for the car (new) and 30k for the upgrades, get a cayman s for 70k, not even the same league, the built brz is getting near, but not at, the cayman stock.I guess I do the 944 and keep the brz as my stock daily/winter driver
Trying to find info like this in Australia s hard. I’ve ordered a 2023 BRZ (Automatic. Don’t hate me. Suits my needs for long distances). I’d love to turbocharge it if possible.
found a 2013 model with 88k miles for 15k, only one owner that traded it for a family suv car. (decent for the shitty car market rn) he took well care of it. cant wait to start modifying it since itll be me first car I own.
I am about to have hks turbo, bagged and 326FBK. On a first owner 2019 gt86 TRD also payed off too car got 60k+ miles it’s a DD. everything is order either needs to be installed or delivered I spent around 28k USD cause I bought thrash racing seats and other tiny stuff here and there also I haven’t went with a wheel design so future like 3000-5000ish and paint and bodykit another 3k and tire fluff me so much stuff
@@Spextre i'd say 60k is way too much, unless you are building sime high ass hp. It costs around 15k to swap RB i to S chassis, but that is with swap kit. I havent found one for gt86, so you would have to get a lot of the parts custom made.. I can imagine reaching the 30k :(
@@RealLeskot yea. I honestly would still only do like 400-450. Obviously an rb can handle wayyyy more but I don't want to ruin the balance of the BRZ. even 400 might be pushing it. I'm honestly just trying to figure out what to do in the future. I mean I've had my brz for a month or so and I enjoy it. I definitely feel like 235s or 245s would be great but would require more power to again, keep the balance. I already have a cold air intake from the previous owner and its weird. some days it feels faster some days it feels slower. So I think imma save for a year or a year and a half and reprice these things out. Bc I love the sound of the rb and I can do whatever I want power wise. but it doesn't fit in the bay so a lot of welding is required and I'd probably rebuild it since nissan legit sells the rb26 block and 2 other pieces in their herritage program. I'm also okay w turboing the BRZ but I only have 1 exhaust I like and its an axelback w 5"mufflers and that wouldn't work. So just gonna leave it and focus on the small visual imperfections I dislike about the 2017s. Like the grill, small interior wrap, and eventually a repaint. I already have a list of what I want I just don't know if its worth doing anytime soon. Wheels, tires, coilovers definitely seem worth it. But coilovers would have to be beefed up w more power so its an endless cycle of okay do I do this within 2022 or do I pay off the car more and chill.
@@Spextre Either way, good luck! I feel like RB swap is going to be one Hell of a headache. I dont have 86, but i'm considering one. Im not a huge fan of the 2.0 boxer so if I had the funds, Id go for k swap. You have to keep in mind one thing, the stock trans aint going to hold that power. Skoro you need to swap in other trans and that is where things get complicated. With K, s2000 trans doesnt fit as the shifter would be waay to far. 350z trans seems like it would fit, but it is much larger and you might need to trim the tunnel... Lot of work here..
bruh this is crazy really like your car parts all the parts are in there how I wish I live in the US. You guys got the complete performance parts PLUS it would be much easier in case smth goes wrong with the modification parts still having trouble what to choose for my zenki rlly looking forward to buy all the parts (excluding the rims and tires) roughly about 3k dollars but still there are lot to choose from if I would focus on the power and the lightness what's the best product per each performance part on the mild build? ty very much I hope you can give me a bulleted list :)
"Honestly I like white cars, best color car there is in my opinion" YES!! White or silver variants make the body lines POP. Black completely hides them. Anything else has to be metallic or it's just "ehh".
I found on Facebook Marketplace a Scion FR-S from 2015 at 3000$ and I just bought it and do I regret it. Not it was worth nothing wrong with car how lucky can I be.
Hi, good day!" I have a really hard decision, and please 🙏 I really need help with this 》 I have a 2018 toyota 86 TRD and a 2020 hiunday veloster N, I love both, but, I don't know wich keep. Please 》》 HELP !!
Dude have you seen the engine bays for ft86s? Theres plenty of room because of the shit boxer engine. Tranny might be tough tho. There are multiple kits and its already been done many times.@@damianswgoh
@@Treaxvour OR and crazy thought here, I like the BRZ chassis and body more and want a better powerplant. not the mention a camaro can weigh anywhere from 600 - 1200lbs more it's a damn boat
Yep, accurate!!! Come on guys, the FA20 you know what it is, subaru engine!!! Aisin trans breaks after 300hp plus garanteed!!!! Swaps is how you modify this cars na make respectable power and reliability. Guys, you know more that that!
Headers on the mild list isn’t nessessary if you are planning a turbo, as turbo kits will be replacing that anyway. Apart from that a very good video :)
It's crazy how much car prices have inflated in just four months. You can't find one of these for under $20k now. I can't wait for prices to start getting back to normal...
