Domestic violence. It's a power play. One person loves the other does not know what love is. They need complete control. Its so hard to endure abuse and noone deserves it ever. Its worse when they beat you to near death and the police prosecute them against your protests. You may even try to rescue your abuser and bail them out of jail after they nearly killed you because you love them. You love too much and they don't know how to love you the way you love them. I'm lucky I was saved by the police. God bless you all.

Those maternal instincts are strong and she knew she had to protect her baby because she loved that baby more than herself. She looked so much healthier & happier after she left.. that always happens, it's one of the benefits of living your own life again.

I was in 2 abusive relationships. One of those men was the father of my child, he forced me to have a child with him that I was not ready for. The abuse from both relationships is something I very rarely talk about, I almost feel ashamed to mention it so it becomes irrelevant. I somewhat feel happier now but I haven't learnt to forgive them or myself yet so I can properly move forward. Also one of the reasons why I've chosen to be single at this point in my life and celibate. It's so much easier to focus on my daughter, my mum and myself rather than focus my energy on someone I'm in a relationship with.
