Oscar Isaac is such a good actor wtf. As a viewer you can always tell when he’s Marc or when he’s Steven. The vibe changes completely when he “switches”. He’s amazing.

Another EXCELLENT episode! With lots of indication towards a 3rd alter, aka Jake Lockley. Also, although I can understand why some would think Marc or Jake killed Layla’s dad, I don’t think that’ll be the case. If it’s anything like how the comics played out (which the references to it so far seem to be pretty accurate to it) then I have a feeling I know who did kill him but I’m not gonna say for potential spoilers sake. Those who have read MK comics will know who I’m talking about

Layla being of Egyptian nationality as she is in the final product was actually something series director Mohamed Diab fought for. May Calamawy, who plays Layla, is even of Egyptian-Palestinian descent. :) The hints to more personalities is great and I did like meeting the avatars of the other gods, especially Khonshu's friend, Hathor (Goddess of Music and Love). And to think we're only at the halfway point. :D

What you said at 10:29 made me realize that if the Ennead had punished Harrow for a crime against the gods he hadn’t committed yet, then the problem would have been solved without any more casualties, but because Harrow hasn’t committed an offense against the gods yet, the gods let Harrow walk free without imposing any judgment on him. In a sense, the Ennead dismissing Khonshu’s accusations against Harrow proves that Ammit’s method of punishing would-be criminals is correct, to a certain extent. (In the end, I still don’t agree with Harrow and Ammit. This is just food for thought)

Monica - Fun reaction as always! They inferred in this episode that there 3rd alter/personality is a stone cold killer (rather than a mercenary with a moral compass like Marc), and I think that is someone even Marc is afraid of. BY the way... this reminds me a HELL of alot of Iron Fist season 2, where Alice Eve's character was a captured former military who created two additional alters to protect herself, with one being totally innocent and the other a scary ass killer of the highest degree.

Norse gods, Egyptians god, Wakandan Gods, Asian gods, Celestial gods (Greek), I wonder what other cultures are going to be highlighted in MCU.

Marc either killed Layla's father directly in a hit, or holds himself responsible somehow, and I think Steven was born from that guilt, manifesting as the person Marc wishes he could have been for her. His talk about having it under control is, I believe, a reference to the third alter we're seeing emerge (or potentially re-emerge after Marc thought he was gone)

FREE KHONSHU!!!

This is likely a third personality. Consider the date in episode one, as we see Marc Spector loves his wife and I doubt he would cheat on her on the other hand, Steven is passive and was not aware of the date so who made it? Notice also in the beginning of last episode, as the protagonist walks towards the museum, when he speaks, it is a slightly different accent than Steven has. The final shot of episode two reveals Steven is still in limbo but the protagonist awakens with a bottle of booze and unaware where he is until he goes to the window, Marc knew where he was going. So much to think about eh?

Its really cool how the Moon keeps getting fuller each episode, this episode we got the half Moon because we've reached the middle of the series. So I'm guessing on the last episode we will get a full Moon and according to the comics the fuller the Moon the more powerful Moon Knight is.

There's a certain irony in Khonshu trying and failing to get the other gods to punish Harrow before he commits the crime of releasing Ammit. After all that's Ammit's MO. The fact that waiting till after the crime is too late actually somewhat justifies Harrow's point of view.

Moon Knight is Immortal as long as Konshu is alive or around, he can still be stabbed or shot like a normal person but Konshu basically just makes him not able to die but since Konshu is in prison now, Marc and Steven are now no longer immortal so if they get shot or something they will die

Khonsu helped the Goddess Nut by giving her extra hours of moonlight, hence giving her extra time, as she was cursed to "not give birth any day of the year". That means Khonsu can manipulate light. So, what I think happened is that he manipulated the light to create an illusion of the sky as it was 2000 years ago. What is we see of the stars is the light that they emitted many many years ago. We look at their past. So if anyone can control the light and create an illusion/projection of the past sky, the god of moon can. That brings me to my another theory, that Khonsu used Hathor's help to create that illusion/projection of the past sky as he cam only control moon light and not all the light of the sky, which Hathor can. He also mentioned to Steven that he can't do that alone, meaning he required Hathor's help and somehow recieved it.

I think the 4th episode is gonna be like a trip through time, marcs mind or konshus life

It seems that Yatzil, the Avatar of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of Music and Love, and possibly, Hathor herself, were sympathetic towards both Khonshu and Marc 🥺😣😔, that's why she helped give Marc the clue about Senfu's sarcophagus 🤔. Yatzil even mentioned that Khonshu used to enjoy Hathor's melodies. Possibly romantic feelings between the two deities 🤭🥰😉😁?

Steven just so happens to live 20 minutes from his home with Layla and is basically custom made to be appealing to her. I’m fascinated by that relationship.

Khonshu speaking through Mark was SO goofy but y’know what, I don’t care, the dedication to the aesthetic and different setting is so refreshing and entertaining and, the creativity this show oozes has made 3 episodes feel so jam-packed and perfect already… The 6 episode run is unfortunate, but I doubt the show will be left feeling incomplete! Marvel rlly got me on my knees begging for a Blade/MK/Black Knight/etc Midnight Sons now 😩😩 Side note, the (presumably Arabic/Egyptian?) soundtrack and Egyptian-themed score are STELLAR

Interesting thing I noticed, we only saw 5 of the 9 members of the Ennead in this episode(Horus, Isis, Osiris, Hathor, and Tefnut) im guessing Konshu and Ammit are former members bringing it up to 7 and we know of 1 other Egyptian god in the MCU, Bastet the goddess of cats who is worshipped in Wakanda and her avatar is the Black Panther im guessing she is the 8th member which would explain why she isnt in this cause they obviously cant have T'challa show up and it would be weird if Shuri was in this and they didnt explain how she is Black Panther. If I had to guess on the last 1 I would say its probably Anubis the god of the Underworld(or is that Osiris and Anubis is the god of the dead I always get them mixed up) I think we saw his avatar in the first episode(its the little girl who mentions that Marc/Steven has died before) interesting thing about Anubis is that Ammit is 1 of his servants he judges the dead and she eats the hearts of those he judges as evil

Curious about others thoughts and opinions on this but do you think Arthur thinks of himself as broken because he enjoys, as he said, essentially killing people? And the reason he, well I wouldn't say hates/resents Khonshu, but rather feels the way he feels towards Khonshu is because it's because of Khonshu that he came to know of what it feels like to murder and because of the fact that something so immoral and, in my opinion, disgusting is now something he actually enjoys doing? The "torment" that he says Khonshu put him through could be the internal conflict that he experienced at the time, because on the one hand, he's killing people and on the other, he realises that he enjoys killing and because of this he now possibly desires to take the lifes of not just those who have done bad, but to rather kill indiscriminately maybe? And this internal conflict could have been the thing that broke him. And him "healing" could possibly be him coming to terms with the fact that this is who he is now. That there is no way for him to forget the sensation, as horrible as we, the audience may find it, of taking the life of another.

He is patient with Steven, I guess he built his life, a false British ID, Post cards from an inexistent mom and recorded messages no one answers. Marc even promised him, Steven would not listen about Marc after paying his debt, I wonder he meant giving up existence so Steven would live on.
