I've had quite a few requests to show just the Countdown clock for use in school activities/own games etc., so here it is! Enjoy! It's a brand new version too, using the 2010 Office package.
I love the urgency of the last few bars. I tend to mimic it when I'm asking somebody a relatively easy question. "How was your weekend?" "Doot, duh, duh...etc, etc."
Apparently it can light up a full minute, someone wrote into channel 4 asking them and they replied saying that when they were creating the show they couldn't decide how long the countdown should be 30, 45 or 60 seconds, and they took so long deciding that the designer of the clock couldn't wait so built the clock able to do a full minute and designed it to be able to stop wherever they wanted.
The clock is a full circle because in between rounds they simply wind it forwards the other thirty seconds to get back to zero. It was much easier to do this than install a reverse motor.
funny cos when i was at school doing the exams back '96 i do remember someone in class joking that they should have had the countdown clock on the school stage for the exams
My favourite game and they never had to make any major changes to the format. They have got a host who fits in perfectly now as well after losing the wonderful Richard wiley.
I watched this up in my grans everyday before she died. Now anytime I hear this song, all I can think of is her giving the grandad a handshandy under the table while my younger brother and I are locked into the fridge to prevent the spread of ecoli on their tupperware.
I used this for my lego countdown. Thank you mongrelvids because with you and the countdown clock, I would not be able to use this for my lego countdown. Thanks Again!
Think we need a petiton to FIFA and UEFA to make this mandatory for the last 30 seconds in EVERY soccer game - Can picture this in the dying moments of a World cup or Champions league final!

I had a math quiz and this was the music and I was dancing too it so I asked my teacher what it was called and He said Countdown me : WELL THERE'S ALOT OF SONGS CALLED COUNTDOWN AND HERE I AM I FOUND IT STRAIGHT AWAY
I use this every year for Easter egg hunts - play this when they look fof clues and read the questions 😂😂 adds a real pressure and rush to answering the clues lol 😂😂
