Already most states has mean fertility level less than 2.1. The actual population decrease might come much before 2050 in India and lack of purpose, depression and disillusionment with life might lead to people preferring a bachelor life over a very stressful family life.

This is very interesting. The birth rate drops as more people chose not to have children or limit the number. I think I remember that Japan has an older aged population that we do in the US. That is probably while they are on the top of the list even though the life expectancy for US citizens is lower. Any other thoughts on what this chart means and why?
I believe the recent population fall in Japan was mainly the result of the economic crash of the 90's. Those entering the job market at the were hit disproportionally hard, as there was no hiring going on for several years in a row. That lead to such bad financial turmoil among the recently graduated that they were never able to start their own families.
This is the 1st time I've seen these graphs go into the future. What data are they basing this on? Its almost impossible to predict stats like this going forward. You can only accurately graph what statistically has happened.
oh this topic, going into the future makes a lot of sense because you already have the data for the future. the only thing you not know is the birth rate of the future, but that won't change a lot.
I don’t think India will ever have a population decline. They have strong cultural values and in poor families the number of kids means number of bread earners. They will continue having 4-8 kids
Mr, your this comment/thought is not true for the Hindu community in India. That's true only for the Muslims. They believe in having more and more children as gift of Allah.
Already indias tfr gone down to just 2.1...many indian states already have less than 2.0 tfr... Latest projection is negetive growth bu 2040..my home state district already have negetive population growth
This thinking js already bitten the dust except for a particular demography. We are seeing one of the sharpest drop in population growth and it will continue to drop at an increasing rate.
@piero Who told you that? There are vast uninhabited land masses. There's enough for everyone if it's managed properly, we have the technology too The problem is 1% has 90% of the wealth; it's being horded by a few instead of circulating and being used for growth.
This is why the theory is we are close to population Max in the world and by 2100 we will be 2 billion less people. Ironically solving the climate crisis ( if you believe in it). Population is the issue. In the UK we could really do with 10-15 million less people. That is what our infrastructure was designed for. 45% of working people are not working welfare long term, yes some medical. Yet we import muslims 80% do not work. Our GDP crashes and we all suffer. Crazy
Correct me if I am wrong but despite the gulf wars, the population in Iraq grew continuously. Unlike Afghanistan in the 1980s where the population shrank by 2 million in 10 years.
@@LouisFCr No, look at Ireland, South Korea, Monaco, Luxembourg, Australia, Netherlands, Singapore, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, and Qatar, these countries have little population and are very rich, can someone explain this to me?
Thankfully someone is providing children for the future of the human race, because Europeans are clearly in decline and others are barely having enough children to replace themselves one day.
I have to correct some things here. Developt countries like Germany don't drop in birth rate, because we are developt and have a lot of money. The opposide is the case. The gap between the 10% of German's holding 75% of our BIP is wider as the income of the average german. And while our salary stays the same the prices for housing, food, energy, healthcare are rising. That's a major factor why many german's don't want children and it's also the reason for the immigration politic of our current goverment. They know this effect will stay and they have to solve it another way. Are we rich? Yes the country is rich. Is the average German rich? No, he/she is not rich. The money don't show up in our pocket. 75% of the Ukrainians in Germany don't work either, same for some of the Refugees, but overall they are more willing to work as the people form the Ukraine. That's why our goverment want a compulsory work for Ukrainian social welfare recipients.
@@PortugalZeroworldcupI believe these people are more conservative; people from the east have stronger family values than in the west, in general, and more cautious about how to create a family. The west is in a state of moral decay for the most part
