I first heard this song from a CD that my Dad won from a local radio show event as a door prize. For some reason this album was being handed out (likely circa late 1990s). Anyway, this song from the album has always stuck with me and brought me here. Such a great song!

My dad had this cd and I have no idea where he got it from but he played it often. Sadly, the cd got scratched and eventually lost because it wouldn’t play correctly. I wish there was a way to but a new one but I can’t find it anywhere

Thanks for this 92Tex.. If you/anyone wants to hear more covers of self-written Del Shannon songs, just google "The Del Shannon Tribute- Songwriter Volume 1.. There are 16 songs on this recently released album, including some of his well known 60s hits.. But ALSO some of his lesser known 70s/80s songs like the great opening track "Drop Down & Get Me" by Kelley Ryan (aka the Astropuppies)..

Nightbird Flying It’s Suzanne singing the high chorus parts. I lived in Cotton Valley where they still live and know them well. Suzanne graduated one year ahead of me. I’d know her voice anywhere after many years of hearing it growing up.
