I was searching for healthy meals to give my sick toddler and your page came up. After one video, I immediately subscribed. Great and very relatable channel. TFS
Hi, Elizabeth, How's it going? How are you doing? I hope you're happy on this day and I hope your day is going well. Wow, Your house is really nice and Your kids are adorable. 17:04 Wow, What's this? I've never seen anything like this before, but This looks delicious. Yeah, I like healthy food and I like to eat healthy food. Thank you very much for this video, I really appreciate it. Greetings from Lima, Peru. 🇵🇪🦙🇵🇪🦙🙂👏👏👏👍
Beets would be ok in the soup too. My mom makes a yummy red soup with the red beets, potatoes some carrots. And at the end we add some sour cream to it. It’s like a Russian borsch - but from Romania. 😃
Love your channel!! Thanks for sharing the brand for poultry seasoning! Would love for you to share brands for the other spices as you cook! I’m buying several of your tools and products.
Hi Elizabeth! New subscriber obsessed with all your videos! I’ve been binge watching your videos over the past few weeks. Is the breville air fryer you love, non toxic? Thanks!
Hey! Ahh thank you so much for that. And yes it’s actually one of the reasons I bought it! I use to have a different air fryer from Costco but it was coated in non stick material but this one is vertically all stainless. It was voted one of the “most non toxic air fryers” Love it!☺️
I have two bags of cranberries in the freezer which I froze from fresh, do I thaw them off before using for this cranberry relish or use them frozen? Thanks!
Elizabeth - I loved your video! I have been wanting to make double fermented sourdough bread but I don't have a starter. What do we need to do to start one from scratch? I would love if you would be able to just say the amounts of ingredients you are using for the breads too so we can make them. Going to try your butternut soup recipe this weekend! Thank you!!
Hi Elizabeth i am new to your channel and i amd binge watching them all. I have a question what do you do with the veggies that you strain from your veggie broth? I dont have animals to feed them too. How can i repurpose those veggies. Thank you
Hey there! Thanks so much! There’s not a lot of ways to repurpose them because once they’ve simmered they lose their flavor and nutrients because it all goes into the broth if that makes sense. Maybe we could compost them 🤔
Actually the broth is the solution to food waste if that makes sense! Instead of throwing out soggy celery, carrots, etc. you use them to make broth. I did throw the soft veggies to my chickens…other than that I’m not too sure. Do you have any ideas?!
I make the vegetable stock cubes myself. They last a long time and can be taken from the freezer at any time. I take carrots, leeks, onions, paprika, garlic, celery, parsley, dill etc. I simmer the vegetables in a pan with a little oil until soft (they will release a little water, no need to add water). At the very end, I add the greens and a little salt and turmeric. Then I puree it with a hand blender and put it in the freezer for a couple of hours in some form. Then I cut the cubes I like and store in the freezer.
Hi Elizabeth, I'm new to your channel, I don't know where I've been. I love these cooking videos , and I love how you turn simple ingredients into yummy meals. 😋
Hi Elizabeth, super excited to watch the video! I'm making some pumpkin bread in the oven right now and boy, am I excited lol! I love fall and all the cozy foods and treats
Fell in love with the Rustic Chicken soup from the last video - it became my favorite. Then I made the Mushroom Wild Rice soup and it's our NEW new favorite! Making the rice soup again today, but then it'll be the chicken soup again! Thank you for these amazing recipes. You make them seem doable and not overwhelming. Delicious!
Just discovered your channel and am so grateful for it! I made your wild rice soup AND the veggie broth tonight for the first time. Super excited to have my own broth! I’m wondering how long the veggie broth will last in the fridge?
Another you made me hungry again video! I have some chicken broth I just made and dehydrated for the first time. It turned out great! I still need to grind it and put it into a jar that I’ll vacuum seal and use as bouillon after I mix with garlic powder and other spices. I’ve been saving onion peels, carrot peels, celery trimmings, etc. in the freezer to make veggie broth. I’ll cook that low and slow and eventually make veggie bouillon from it. Not sure if I’ll make beef yet because we don’t eat much beef anymore. Now you’ve given me more ideas with the cranberries and soups! I think I’ll be busier than I thought! LOL. Thank you Elizabeth! I love that you left the coconut milk blooper in! Your Moms sense of humor shines through!! ❤❤❤
Elizabeth, I just came across your video and I’m hooked. I love all you do in your kitchen. Beautiful family, kitchen and garden. I’ll be spending time watching more videos before going to bed. You remind me so much of myself. Healthy eating . I love this. Blessings!!
Hi Elizabeth, I LOVE your channel! I really appreciate your approach to cooking, and use of whole food organic ingredients 😊 Every recipe I’ve tried I’ve just loved! I’m just wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing your recipe for that very delicious looking pumpernickel rye bread? I didn’t see it on your website. Thank you! 🙏🏻
I love a primanti sandwich as well. I used to live in Brookline (pgh area). The original primanti bros was opened because they needed to feed the truckers. I just found your channel today and I truly enjoy it. Many blessings.
Ahh I didn’t know that!! We have family in pgh so it’s such a fun treat to have it when we’re there. So glad you are here, blessings to you and yours. 😊
Aww thank you!!🤭 Here's are a few of my staples: tinted face oil: amzn.to/3GCzpDV lash tint: amzn.to/41o0iFm cream bronzer: amzn.to/3t1hBiQ blush: amzn.to/3RhtWHx
Yes, absolutely! I would do a little more broth and then either whole milk or heavy cream! Whole milk will make it taste the sweetest from the lactose (milk’s natural sugar). 😋
Did you know that you can use the green tops of the carrots to make pesto out of it. Just substitute the tops for the basil if you do not have any…or can combine a mixture of tops, basil and fresh spinach. Also, you can make hummus out of any nut butters, even peanut butter. I bet those beautiful beets would be good with some hummus, topped with roasted pepper, feta cheese( saw Jacques Pepin make this). My father and I use to just peel raw turnips, slice them and sprinkle them with S&P. Eat them just like that. Can beets be eaten raw? I love them pickled or just sliced with fresh orange sections and pecans in a salad. Add in a few pomegranate seeds and add your favorite dressing. Oh so good.
I love making butternut squash soup! I make it a little different every time. I stopped adding in milk or coconut milk to keep it healthier. Just slowly add in broth until it is the desirable consistency.
@@healthyelizabethThank you so much for sharing! I’ve been loving your videos and have binge-watched all of them since I found you. 😆 Thanks for making wonderful, wholesome content!
