The CQE Body of Knowledge (2022): asq.org/cert/resource/pdf/cer... The Green Belt Body of Knowledge: asq.org/cert/resource/pdf/cer... Which Journey Will You Pick? CQE Academy: cqeacademy.com/ Green Belt Academy: greenbeltacademy.com/
Thank you for putting together such an informative video! I just earned my PMP and am now focusing on earning my Green Belt. I started looking at the CQE a few months ago and had an idea formulating in my head about getting it after my Green Belt. After watching your video, I think I am on the right track. I will definitely utilize your websites and videos as I study for these certifications.
great info and presentation, very well summarized! thanks, as an engineer with couple years experience in manufacturing and a masters I was confused as to whether to go for the Green Belt or CQE. I have decided to take the Green Belt first.
Looking at ASQ's chart of certifications, I don't see CQE and Green Belt as being on the same level. The Green Belt is considered "intermediate level" versus CQE which is considered "professional or advanced level" hence requiring 8 years of experience and more depth of knowledge. A more appropriate certification to compare to or compliment Green Belt would be the CQT or CQI which are "intermediate level". CQE or CRE and such would compare to or compliment Black Belt.
Great question! This is absolutely a video I need to make in the future, and it's on my to-do list! The short answer is, it all depends on your career goals!
I already have the CQE, and I'm wondering, can there be a situation (employment, promotion, appointment, whatever, anything) whereby the CSSGB can actually ADD value to the CQE? Is there ANY point in going for the CSSGB if you already have the CQE?
Hey There!!!! Okay, so there are certain companies out there, who are really involved in lean/six sigma, and having a GB or BB certification would be valuable. In that situations, you've gotta choose between GB and BB, and the question comes down to timing. If you're on the job hunt, and you want a certification quickly, the GB is the best option. The BB would take more time to conquer - but will obviously be more challenging.
@@greenbeltacademy I was a little worried if I qualified for the green belt requirements. I’m coming from a 6 year military background of loosely related work as an electronic technician, but I’ve only been a Quality Engineer as a civilian for a year. Do you think ASQ would consider me eligible for Green?
Great question! Okay, so I'd recommend looking at the body of knowledge for the CQE Exam. If you feel confident that you already have a strong understanding of all of the topics on the exam, I'd recommend focusing on a different certification that will challenge you to learn something new! If you don't feel comfortable with those topics, then I'd recommend the CQE Journey because it will lead to new learning and growth!
