Thrift stores are the best place to find groovy vintage clothes! But if you don't have many thrift stores near you, try searching online. Every generation has taken inspiration from the before generations. And it's not like it's completely copied, we change it up a lot and add our own things + a modern touch to it. And i wouldn't think about it as "raiding" since this is goth stuff. We're simply just being goth lol

But yeah it's not just your generations culture. We ALL share goth culture. Nobody owns it. Not even the original creators of it, cause other people are allowed to enjoy things. (Plus, don't you want it kept alive? I for one don't want to see goth disappear.) And even if they DID, you are *sorely* mistaken to think you are one of those people that own that right. You yourself enjoy manyyy things in this life that you didn't make up. At the end of the day, you're just another person following a fad you like, and "raiding" another person's style, seeing as i doubt you've actually contributed or made up anything for the goth community (besides gatekeeping maybe) And there's nothing wrong w that, (besides for the gatekeeping), but acting like it's all yours/your generations and only y'alls to enjoy, + holding a personal grudge against newcomers for no reason other than being them being a newcomer and because you've maybe liked it longer, is so stupid, lame, and one of the most un-goth things you could ever do.
