I was there in '94 with my older brother Jay, who passed away just six years later. Unfortunately, we never found the South Stage, where the Cranberries and many other "lesser" acts played. The grounds were so immense, and there were SO many people, that it was difficult to get around. We spent all of our concert time at the main North Stage. I will NEVER forget that amazing weekend. RIP big brother Jay.
This performance of "Dreams" gets me every time. It must have been so amazing to have been there, hearing that beautiful sound filling your ears and experiencing that joy with all those people.
because the people of a certain religion who run the music industry (and most other industries) want to push degenerate sex and drug use to pervert the youth and everyone else. There's no room for this kind of music when they can push garbage rap music to have your children thinking it's cool to take pills, have sex with random people, and commit crimes...
This is one of the greatest bands of all time. I miss Delores and her voice so much. This was a decade that brought people together because we were always looking forward to what was next. And to the person who commented about there being no phones - there is irony in that comment considering you and I both are commenting on this video because of exactly that. However, you’re right - phones have taken away our imagination and ability to think freely with a smile on our face. Fuck them.
I was at W94 and this relatively short Cranberries set. Everyone wished it would just keep going, but there were so many acts and just two stages. I was on stage left here (on-stage view) near the entrance. Most of the crowd was on extacy. It's hard to imagine but this was the small stage tucked into what I think was the southeast corner of the area. It was about a quarter (or less) the size of the main venue. Only people with backstage passes could get anywhere near the main stage. My tent was set up about 50' from the south side of the main stage. One of the members of my group had passes that I got to use, but unfortunately only once. Tickets were crazy expensive and you had to buy two. But they never collected tickets. I still have my $50 T-shirt that looks just like the stage wrap - and about half the Woodstock Bucks I was forced to convert upon entry. None of the main concessions accepted real money. All said, if W69 was three days of great music, peace, love and mud, W94 was three days of great music, mosh pits, money grabs and mud.
We didn't have backstage passes, but we spent all of our time at the North Stage. Honestly, I never found the South Stage. I still have my Woodstock coins as well. I found that about halfway through the festival, all order broke down and vendors accepted cash over Woodstock script. What a time, wasn't it? Those few days live on in my memory like a dream - an amazing, very good dream. I can't believe we are now 30 years out from that weekend.
This was great and so glad these "kids" lived this experiences. The 90s were great, I miss it very much. We are all old now and have lost many since then. Wish I can go back.
She had a great voice and they had such a great sound. I used to have this in the late 90s and lost it somewhere along the way. Glad to be able to hear it again. Idk how they were on the “lesser” stage if the South stage was that as another poster mentioned. The Cranberries were a pretty big deal in the mid-90s.
wow, the full set, this is rare, thank you!! do you have any more woodstock 94 stuff? I'm a huge fan of the festival, it means a lot. either way, this is great!
+Sean Gallagher I used to have. This is not the full set, Zombie and (They Long to Be) Close to You, are missing. Zombie is available in a low quality.
Dolores announces the first song as Zombie and the band goes into another song. Either there was a nasty edit or the band simply plowed through excellently! Miss them so much!
