If you understand the context behind the lyrics the song is even more powerful. A lot of people seem to think because the title of the song is zombie that it’s about stereotypical “zombies” (for some reason?) and/or the lyrics go completely over their head “since 1916” is referring to the Easter rebellion that happened in 1916 in Ireland and how it still goes on to some extent. The song itself is about the troubles and because I’m actually from Northern Ireland it hits close to home - literally and figuratively. This is a snippet of the troubles (pay attention to the time stamps): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oVLRdI5MlSA.html I was born 1992 so I grew up through the tail end of all of that until the ceasefire (the good Friday agreement) was signed in 1998. It still has ended for some who still act like it’s still on but most of us want to move on, so.

Amazing. I play all of your songs for my kids so they can learn from it. My dad never taught me how to play. I taught myself. And I refuse to not teach them..if they want to. "In your head They're still crying"... me too. Jankelevich once said "music expresses the ineffable" : he's right, there are no words to define this piece of heaven on earth. God gave man feelings, but He gave you a more powerful talent : the ability to create feeling for others. Your mix between Zombie and Faded is just insane, almost made me cry.
