The Craziest Chopin: Tarantelle op.43 [Denis Zhdanov] 

Chopin's Tarantelle op. 43 in A-flat major sometimes is being mentioned as the only his purely virtuoso piece. It was inspired by Rossini's song La Danza, also written in 6/8.
Robert Schumann has left a peculiar review on this piece: "Chopin's most extravagant manner; we see before us the dancer, whirling as if possessed, until our senses reel. To be sure, nobody could call this music lovely, but we willingly forgive the master his wild fantasy. For is he not once in a while permitted to display the dark side of his soul?..."
I was around 21 y.o. when I have recorded this piece in 2010 in Poland.
