With Paraag Marathe as the Executive VP of Football Operations, the 49ers will be fine with the salary cap. The guy is a salary cap guru, and combined with John Lynch’s ability to identify talent in the draft and attract solid free agents makes for a formidable front office. They know what they’re doing to try and keep their Super Bowl window open for as long as possible.

Now, but all that Cap hit went down the line. It will come back into play starting next year. We will be forced to get rid of top talent. We either get the SB win this year, or we have to restructure a shit ton of contracts again just to make the cap for next year. This is all assuming Trent Williams and Kyle Juszczyk don't retire anyway.

Paraag Maranth is literally the best contract and money guy in the league. Restructure contracts. Cut loose ends. With Ronnie bell, and Snead playing so well as rookies we can lose Jennings and another backup WR. They got 12 draft picks and some comp picks as well. 9ers will be fine next year.

There’s a loophole that allows them to keep all their players in the under cap threshold tab and they don’t have to pay for their quarterback to a big salary cap in next two years and they still can afford to keep the same team for the next two years and if they win the superbowl then they have the profit margins to go for another superbowl on the next year

The Saints restructured contracts for years during the Drew Brees era. They're paying for it now. Eventually the wheels will come off the wagon when the cap does hit and they can no longer restructure contracts without paying out a lot of guaranteed money.

I don’t like restructuring, which we obviously had to do, but we can also offload some players. It hurts to think about, but Deebo is probably gone after this season, as is Warner. Always best to get rid of them a year early than a year late, and I think our success at LB makes him expendable.

Only like 2 teams (9ers and Ravens) in the nfl even use fullbacks anymore and the Ravens are perfectly happy with who they have at fullback (Patrick Richard, he's cheaper and can fill in on D-line). Next year they can move on from the fullbacl and Armstead, then extend Hufanga and Aiyuk. As long as their 5th and 7th rounders keep playing like first rounders they will be fine.

They restructure those contracts and pay them out in bonuses. They did it with Trent and Kittle already. Cash is king, you turn the cap hit into a bonus then it won't go towards the cap. Bosas contract is only 17 million towards the salary cap.

I could see Trent and Juzcyk retiring either after this season or next. Not good from a roster perspective but it will help the cap. I think we’ve already drafted another FB too. Replacing Trent will be tough tho. Kittle is another trade/retire candidate.
