Okay so neat little fun fact: Toby had the idea for Deltarune long before he had the idea for Undertale. Specifically, he dreamt of Deltarune's ending back in 2010-2011. This ending was so good he created a basic plot outline to fit this ending so he could make a game, however a project like Deltarune would be far too large for him, as at the time his gamedev experience was mostly in making romhacks. He shelved Deltarune for the time being and decided to make a much smaller project to get experience in game development, re-using the characters he made for Deltarune. That game was Undertale. Another fun fact, the Delta Rune is the monsters' coat of arms in Undertale, and is an anagram of Undertale.
Well. We have a lot of details that indirectly connect Deltarune and Undertale. For example, the Nintendo version of Undertale has a new "Gaster Follower" that talks about Susie. In the bush room in the game files, there is also a character in the bushes who mentions Suzie. Well, the most important thing. There is a room where "Redactied" is in an object resembling a stable. The name "knight", in addition to the knight, can also mean a game knight in chess. And this leads to different thoughts. Sorry if the theory was clumsy, I live in another country and I am writing this through a translator :) Edit: I remembered one more detail. If you translate the word egg into Windings font, you get left, up, up. This is how the chess knight walks.
I think you did very well the only mistake I see is Nuntendo which is supposed to be Nintendo but hey no worries. Even the best writers make spelling mistakes. :)
@@sdekoning2100 I remembered one more detail. If you translate the word egg into Windings font, you get left, up, up. This is how the chess knight walks.
@@red8422 Also the way the Knight moves is in the shape of an L meaning Luigi is the knight!!!!! But jokes aside maybe the knight has an L in their name.
The man could also be Everyman, he’s present in the True Lab, he’s a bird so he hatches eggs, he’s a “man”, so that’s another possible candidate Edit: Everyman is not confirmed to be a bird, but he looks like a bird to me
@@masterwolfgaming3436 and to top it all off, he's the only character references in both the dark world, in both a Pop-Up window and Queen's communication attack, and the light world, as a graffiti drawing
@@andylugo7060 these two videos cover Everyman in depth, I know it’s made by a kid but it’s still informative ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lkDjFDL6Cu8.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LsOEupItT0k.html No I don’t believe Everyman is the knight, but I believe he plays an important role
Another reference, in sans secret workshop behind his house, there’s a picture that has 3 people on it that frisk does not recognize, and a note with the words, “Don’t forget.” This is significant because the end credits song of deltarune is called “don’t forget” and with this implied, the 3 people on the page are most likely Kris, Susie, and Ralsei
The funny thing with the fridge room is that the only one that's described in a way remotely describing a fridge ("A cold, rectangular object") is the disguised amalgamate.
If you go to the old hermit shop in Waterfall, the hermit talks about the Royal Family Crest, called the Delta Rune. I remember him saying that the crest actually depicted something… an Angel, I think. I’ll have to look back at it later.
practically everyone knows this, basically its the prophecy of the delta rune, which apparently "predated history" (evident by the fact toriel and asgore had it on their outfits before the monsters were even sealed) its simple, the angel represents an individual who will "leave the underground empty" while the triangles symbolize the monsters. this happens in all routes, the underground is either left empty because you killed everyone, or because asriel freed everyone (look at his angel form) in neutral the best interpretation is that theyre "empty" of hope in deltarune, it takes on a completely different meaning. the prophecy is that three heroes will seal the "angel's heaven" to stop the roaring. this one makes alot more sense, the triangles facing upwards are susie and kris as lightners, while the one facing downwards is ralsei, a darkner Theres speculation in that this might imply kris and susie arent directly opposed to the angel's actions whilst ralsei's whole purpose is that theyre defeated to fulfill the prophecy, hence he faces away
I thought the “angel” was Asriel? Cause his one form has wings and is shaped like the crest- he also says something abt being an angel (don’t remember what) I could be wring tho
@@sxltedcxramelarchive I mean kinda? I’d argue he at least temporarily becomes the Angel when he ascends to God of Hyperdeath, and he is the one who actually breaks the barrier, but arguably that Route only happens because the player befriends all the boss monsters
Cool lore aside, imagine how fucking terrifying that situation was for frisk. They're in a room too full of fog to see two feet in front of them, they're feeling around and there's a person standing there, they're sure of it, in the foggy void they can barely make out a humanoid figure, yet when the fog clears, the man is gone.
I watched a video about what happens if you remove the fog from the fridge room before using the fans, and interacting with a fridge had that dialogue.
Bro Toby made ONE game and it settled his life then he just HAD TO make two more and give a continuation in order to get EVEN MORE settled... We still figuring out these secrets till this day Hats off to the man
Undertale was a test to see if he can make a game. Delta rune is his dream game, literally, he was sick and and had a dream of the ending to a game that doesn’t exist, so he set out to make that game. Undertale was a test to see if it was possible to make a game.
Well Suzy is suppose to be younger like Frisk, and Susie is from an alternate universe. It could parallel Suzy much like how Sans also exists in this universe, but the details are vague.
It definitely is meant to be a reference though, the lesser known thing that she says is that your “time to meet Suzy… is fast approaching.” on the Switch version, which was released about a month before Deltarune dropped. It might not be the same Suzy per se, but foreshadowing Deltarune was definitely what Toby was going for.
@@masterwolfgaming3436 Also, why is no one noticing the details that connect Sans to Deltarune? Going back, but not to the surface; going back to Deltarune? "Don't Forget" accompanied by 3 figures; Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, plus "Don't Forget" being the song at the end of Deltarune chapter 1.
@@whocaresaboutthename6850 did you mean that frisk is younger than kris? because frisk IS NOT KRIS,nad deltarune IS NOT AN UNDERTALE SEQUEL NOR PREQUEL
Am I the only one whose laughing my ass off imaging just grabbing around in the fog and just grabbing some rando’s face and going “Ah yes, a man.” And just continues stumbling around…. XD
I thought this was going to be about the Shell Girl person, who talks about her neighbour and her daughter Suzy. After you beat the game and talk to Shell Girl, she basically says: "You didn't meet Suzy! Ah well, you'll meet her soon anyways." Suzy = Suzie
I’d like to think that if you collect all the eggs in every chapter you’ll be able to bring back Gaster. He’s giving you Easter eggs and he’s essentially an Easter egg. It’s like he’s giving you part of himself so he can set things up to come back in the end.
Another reference that I’ve heard is: in the secret rooms in the True Lab that you can’t access by normal means have notes in the Wing Dings font that say “DARK DARKER DARKER YET DARKER” and “PHOTON READINGS NEGATIVE” and Sheam says “darker, yet darker” and for photons to be negative, that would mean that something would have to be absorbing light, kind of like how when ever a door that has a dark world inside looks to be leaking darkness
" in the secret rooms in the True Lab that you can’t access by normal means have notes" nope. its ONE ROOM ONLY,and WE DONT KNOW FOR WHICH AREA IT IS. Plus,it doesn't have notes, its just a black screen with wing dings text
DUDE. your comment just gave me a very likely idea about sans! He has said things like "just give up. Youll never see them again." what if the person or people hes talking about are trapped in the dark world of undertale?!? 🤯
Ok, hear me out. I believe that the man behind the tree is everyman, since Gaster is presumabley a skeleton (Because his name is a font, and it doesn't make sense for a human to be in the underground). Everyman, however, literaly contains 'man' in their name. They are also seen ONLY in the true lab (In amalgamates' attacks). He also appears quite often in Deltarune. (As of now, in Jevil's and Queen's attacks and spraypainted in Alphys' alleyway)
I theorize that there are actually Multiple Gasters, one of his friends in Undertale even says something about him shattering. And In Deltarune there are two characters that seem very Gaster-Like. Yet are very different. At the beginning of Chapter one. Somebody we assume to be Gaster discards your creation, acting as if he doesn't care about you nor Kris. However, then there's the Gaster hiding in plain sight. He's often "happy to see you" and appears to be more goofy.
@@7nder-17 The first is the one at the beginning of the game that asks you to create a vessel only to discard it. The second is "the man behind the tree" giving you eggs and being generally happy to see you.
Also the word EGG (in all capital letters) translates to 👈👆👆in wing dings (the font Gaster speaks in) which is the movement of a knight in chess. This may foreshadow Gaster’s connection to the Roaring Knight somehow.
in undertale waterfall zone, you can encounter Clam Girl with a rare chance, she will tell you about someone named "Suzi", in switch version, she may say " soon you will meet Suzi". That referes to Susie from deltarune
I remember watching my friend play through Undertale after being super deep in Deltarune, and when we got here I legit froze and needed them to repeat it
Also fun thing about this rooms connection with egg and refrigerators: you can actually put this egg in the fridge near the end of the game, which will clone the egg
I've already tried that before. Also Deltarune made after Undertale. And that giant thing was called DT Extractor. DT was an acronym. It stands for *Determination.*
IIRC, the concept first came about in 2012. Toby actually posted concept art of Kris, Susie, Ralsei, and Noelle, as a matter of fact. Pretty neat stuff!
I thought you were gonna talk about Clam girl talking about Susie causes the picture of the three smiling faces in the secret room behind Sans and papyrus's house to say "Don't forget" on it
Makes sense seeing as deltarune has been in the works for even before undertale was in conception so either toby is playing us like a game of 4D chess or we all can’t comprehend his actions…
in my first pacifist run I actually went to the fog room without clearing it before, and I saw this secret dialogues for accident when I was trying to find sth
I've been playing undertale for what seems like forever and I just encountered this egg while I was playing and I was so confused, and when I pressed around some more it said something like "there seems to be something here, it feels like it's breathing ..." I cant remember exactly what it said but I know for sure it said "feel" and "breathing" (sorry I dont have such a great memory lmao)
Dont forgot, spamtom calls u in undwrtale in snowden (: + But maybe gaster came back some how and he was in the room, just like the way that he back and we saw him (well not for too long but u get it)
I don't think people realize that Deltarune was in writing and planning since before Undertale itself. Toby's showed us himself and it's cracked how long ago he started working on Undertale, and one of temmie Chang's games literally has characters named Krys, Suzy and an anagram of Ralsei.
im pretty sure its supposed to be talking about the snowdrake in that room, its kinda tree shaped and kinda man shaped. only thing that throws me off is the fruit part
