Westgate Fishing Team I’m located on the mornington peninsula so usually I head out off mornington into port Phillip and target fresh squid to use as bait to then go chase the snapper. I’ve also done a bit of land based fishing in western port targeting gummies but am yet to take the boat out in western port. Seems like I’m doing everything right and I’ve gone out probably 8 times peak snapper season this year and didn’t catch a single snapper. Last snapper I caught was about 3 years ago on a charter boat
