THE CRAZIEST FLIGHT OF MY LIFE | Coastline Gliding South Africa

We got a lot higher than the ridge at the coastline and then flew back to other ridges.

The outlanding option for the worst case was a beach a view kilometers away, but we had a sustainer engine and the wind was blowing with 60 km/h directly from the sea onto the ridge. The next point is that we were low, but we also had 250 km/h + speed which gives us 200 m of height. So all in all it was well planned, but a tiny bit of risk is always when flying. The safety at Worcester airfield is absolutely no issue.

Thank you Stefan for your time to explain this to me, so apart from the steel things you have, I am glad to realize you are also a wise pilot, I live in the Canary Islands so unfortunately there are no chances to fly gliders but I regularly go to the mainland Spain and fly in Fuentemilanos, Segovia whcih is a very nice venue, but I have always liked those coastal flights slope soaring like a seagull, like are done in New Zealand West coast and south of England, a pleasure to meet you Sir ....... take care an post more videos of your adventures ..... regards ..

@@SteFly, Hi Stefan! Brazil is a country of continental dimensions and this makes things very difficult for us. I live in a large center, and we do not have a flight location here. To fly in a glider I have to move about 600 to 800km and go to another federal state. But there are championships here as well. The name of the most appropriate city is Bebedouro and is in the interior of the state of São Paulo, as you can see in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CN2HlKUKhJw.html I have a friend in Stuttgart, Germany and he said that the snow it's come. So, is possible fly on this weather condition? Thanks a lot.

Hat alles seinen Reiz, aber Worcester ist schon sehr vielseitig und die 1000 Kilometer FAI Dreiecke werden auch bald von dort geflogen werden ;)

Am Tafelberg ist der Luftraum wahrscheinlich problematisch. Zumindest ohne Motor und ohne Freigabe...

Nein, nicht direkt. Waren nicht am Kapp der guten Hoffnung, sondern auf der anderen Seite von der False Bay. Der Luftraum ist da aber auch tiefer und man muss genau hinschauen, wo man hinfliegt.
