@@teatimeboy3240 more times than not it's up to the player, and because AngryBird, the guy who let him connect back, was a good person he let him get back up and running. More times than not people taking that free round are dicks who take whatever win they can get.
@@Gang3rsfr at kindergarten i was sick and that day our class went to the fuсking Airport and they even met national Badminton champion 💀 i was crying and so mad for a week
Dude who waited shows what it truly means to have honour as he didn’t take the cheap shot he gave his opponent a chance and thus he stands with honour and dignity.
Ok that event had a lot of cool things going on but that has got to be the coolest mayor ever, giving the key to the city to the owners of the event what a legend
@@ClassyYellowi believe when city had gates around them the key to the city opened that gate because the person who was given the key was trusted but now it’s symbol I think.
I remember in one of the more popular smash tournaments opponent A thought opponent B had his controller disconnect, and didn't want to get a free hit so he paused the game. The rules at the time were if you pause the game mid match, even accidently, you lose 1 stock (1 life). Instead of opponent B trying to back appoment A up and explain he just thought I dced and wanted to be fair, he took advantage and made the other guy have to take a loss. Opponent B ended up winning and everyone was pissed.
@@destinedvirus7673 on me I try to hold the standard like if I can tell they not there or controller is dead I’ll give it 15 seconds or so the usually back by then
@@JustTheRat01 this isn't actually tied to EVO, basically a tourney was held online where the TO had mods on their game, the mods were anything from costume changes to nude mods, which is exactly what Chun Li had, there's an argument to be had whether the organizers should be banned from twitch or kept on because it was a mistake but I'm not here to have that convo
I think his entire career would have exploded if he didn't let him reconnect. Taking the "free win" is probably one of the most disrespectful things you can possibly do in the fighting game community. He would have been ostracized.
Ok so a blind fighter, a fighter with an oversized weapon, a fighter who's hiding any tell of his next move, a fighter who copies that and for some reason it becomes vaguely sexual, and a fighter who notices his opponent has some out of tournament fight interference and politely waits till they're ready to continue all show up to the same tournament. Followed up with the mayor of the city handing over the key to the city This is the most anime out of pocket arc I've ever seen. Like im pretty sure studio trigger or Bones animated this at one point or another.
@@RootboyFrenzyMatexcept for the part where the guy with the blanket is copying the cake box guy, where the realm of anime transcends into the hentai realm.
For me its more of a RPG group with a blind monk(blind fighter), barbarian(big weapon) a wizard(the one who used a cake box) a bard(the one that copied the trick but it came out weird) and a palladin(the one that waited)
Fun fact: Xiaohai, the "cake box dude", isnt actually using a cake box. He's using a qanba box to hide his inputs. Qanba makes some of the best and most known/used arcade sticks in the FGC and they just so happen to sponsor Xiaohai
It's really not that impressive. The Street Fighter competive community is really small and a lot of them know each other on a personal level. Not to mention since Street Fighter has a whole honor theme in the story. I promise you he would of both lost friends and been bood right off the stage. lol
The best part is Angrybird still won fair and square after a long, hard fought match where if he had taken the free game for the controller plug he wouldve won the grand final set much sooner. Because of this one moment of true sportsmanship the grand finals of sf6 was an epic ten game slugger and there is truly no doubt in anyones mind that Angrybird was the better player
I don't even know what comments i can believe nowadays because, in literally any video where they talk about an event or something then there is always that one guy who comments "I was there it was amazing" and please tell me the odds of that because it just can't be like that.
@@Miloporo The odds of seeing a comment from someone who actually went skyrockets because of the fact that you saw it from a video that's talking about that event
@Miloporo i mean, I can't show proof through a youtube comment section, so it's a very "trust me bro" kind of situation lol. If I could post a picture or clip I would, I have some great stuff like everyone singing "Smell of the Game" together, singing the TMNT theme song, raising our lights and waving them in SF6 grand finals, losing our minds at the reveals and of course, cheering and chanting whenever that Chipotle ad came on 😂
I remembered watching the grand finals live and the sportsmanship from that guy who waited is incredible. He did ended up winning and his opponent respects him till the end.
The guy waiting for the other person is just so awesome most people would just take the dubs and cheer like they deserved it but bro waited for him knowing he just out 20k on the line
I feel so proud and happy for blind warrior sven! I can't imagine overcoming an obstacle like that! Him winning without even looking was the most wholesome thing ever.
